Damn, sorry to hear that. I remember missing tickets for Ghost in the Shell and being super bummed out, but we were able to wait in the stand by line for 5 hours to get in. I don't think they have the standby line these days. I also missed Ex Machina at the last con and being pissed but we still had a good time. Hopefully they have a regular that's a timed sale or something. Enjoy the con! This is the first one that I'm not going to.
Yeah, I'm hoping they'll do a reg or var (if it's like Ex Machina) online.
But missing the drop still stings. It burns! It went pretty fast.
I've been slowing getting out of the game and I don't miss the sting of losing out on a must have drop. I'm probably planning on trading for the Ansin if it's epic enough. Really the only print I want is a Stout Hot Fuzz and I would be happy to retire from the poster game.Mondo has the license still so I wonder if it's in the works.

Anyone here going to Mondocon? If so any chance you'd be willing to PB the Mike Mitchell beer glass?
I genuinely do not understand the line rules for Mondocon, and I hope everybody going comes away with some good experiences and some rad art.
True Enemy by Kurtz is now available. I haven't been paying much attention but having this timed is really cool.
Post pics of the mondo menu! I'm hoping the Ansin Spider-verse regular is also timed.
No officially licensed print has been able to get him in his Jordans. It blows, 'cause they're iconic.

Love the pins from them! Were you able to get any of the 1/100 prints they had with the unique sketch on each?
Nah. I though they were great and was going to try and get one... but after seeing the line, I just opted to walk around the show floor.
How was being there? Not sure if it had to do with the properties on display or what, but from my (regular) outsider's perspective I was a little underwhelmed by this year's offerings. It at least looked like people had a lot of fun, so that's awesome, and I bet meeting/interacting with favorite artists is always a good time.
The prints were definitely underwhelming. The only one at the store that I thought was good was the Rory Kurtz TLJ, but I'm not a big fan of the movie so it's an easy pass. I think the best print was the Ruas There Will Be Blood. I just wished they added maybe some varnish to the oil. That would've made it pop.
It's fun being at MondoCon, but you're definitely here to spend money. Talking to the artists is cool. But it's also an excuse to just visit Austin and eat. There's a really great food scene here.

I mean, looks like you and others had a good time and that's what (I think!) counts for the most. Also, appreciated you updating the ghost town Discord with some of your photos! I got yelled at once for checking my phone at an inappropriate time when notifications were popping off.

Nikita Kaun is the artist, there's a regular version with the title (Paprika for those not familiar) in English. Liked her 2001 print recently... a movie I should eventually see someday... and picked this one up on a whim.
