It was supposed to be aired live, but someone got injured and FOX just aired the taped rehearsal, which was less than flattering for most cast.
That's unfortunate. Couldn't they have aired it again at a later date?
They spent a lot on marketing claiming it was going to air live at that day and time, I guess it was better to air the rehearsal than to cancel or postpone.
