The franchise has been Gears of War for all past iterations, and there will probably still be merchandise, movies, books and comics that use the full title.
The community already calls it Gears anyways.

Looks ugly. Gears 5 sounds dumb. Game looks boring anyway. Bring back the old crew. Cranky old men shooting shit and talking trash.
God knows why they try to implement new "characters" and "story" in a series that was all about shooting, violence and dumb talk. Nowadays everything has to be "cinematic with emotions" I guess ...

It's not horrible. It would look better if the mural was covering more rather than that background.

It definitley looks off, but for some reason it comes off as more of a poor artistic decision to me. Like it was going for a painted look.

What? They are 100% the same design philosophy. Just wait for the real render and not some potato leaks, if you don't like the quality.

Most everyone I've played with has just said/messaged "Gears" rather than Gears of War since the first one.
"Want to play some Gears?"
My buddy and I played through the campaigns in insane in local coop for the first 3 and called those very late nights of grinding through them "Gears and Beers."

GOW never really meant Gears of War.
It was always Gears (and it's what it unanimously is now pretty much) or the absurd GeOW for Gears of War...as GOW was taken by God of War long before Gears.
How is a higher resolution going to fix the downright cartoony proportions of her facial features?
Because fans have been removing the "of War" since 2008. Now Microsoft is doing it for you.

Na, I am serious. I mean I really liked Gears 4 and I will give 5 a try anyway. But I am really not liking what they showed so far. Feels more like Tomb Raider than Gears of War.
