The introduction of the shark in jaws after not seeing it for so long in the movie is a very satisfying and the Williams score is fantastic.

introduction of the mystery man in Lost Highway.

It's the sound design and Robert Blake just being fucking terrifying that sells it.

I wanted to put a The Fountain scene but youtube is fickle so have this.

Also looked for something from The Four Feathers with Heath Ledger, Djimon Honsou, among others. Not much on youtube so have this one. Also watch the movie.

I see a lot of Sunshine love and I like it. Might as well finish the movie haha. It's my favourite part.

Hugh Jackman is great and you can't go wrong with Denis Villeneuve.

Good Will Hunting is a masterpiece.

Remember the Titans will always hold a special place in my heart. Possibly the best sports movie.

Apologies for the crummy capture, it's the only version of the full scene I could find.

The only setup you need here is that John Cusack's character is a professional killer. The back and forth between Cusack and Arkin through the scene, with the darkly humorous undertones, really drives home the tone for the whole movie and contains some great lines in a movie overflowing with them.

"I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork.... how have you been?"
".... and I know where you live."
"Recurring dreams of loss and pain for ten years featuring the same person.... yeah maybe it's bit... obsessive..."

If you haven't seen the movie, be sure to check it out. Also has a killer soundtrack.

This though OHHHH this is my favorite scene of any movie ever.
I don't think James Cameron will ever top this:

That movie seems to be forgotten but the whole thing was brilliant and that scene is just off the charts.

I saw it in theaters and it was so well done it all seemed real to me. I think I aged like 5 years when they were trying to revive her.

Same. I don't think I have ever been that anxious during any scene ever. It makes you realize how truly horrific drowning would be. The whole movie does an excellent job of making you feel claustrophobic watching it.

Her acting is insane in that scene. The drowning and even when she is dead.

That shit should have gotten her and Harris an Oscar nomination.

Such a classic movie.
"In this union will there be meetings?'
"Of course!"
"No Meetings"

What I particularly love about the movie is how quickly and smoothly it shifts tone and then decides to split the difference. It can be charmingly sly or even playful, suddenly take a dark turn and then quickly shift into violence that goes over-the-top into comedy the longer it progresses. "Thanks for the pen."

Yeah its brilliant in the way it shifts tone from one scene to another. The reunion scene is probably the best embodiment of that as well and you are only really snapped back into the horror of his job when Minnie comes around the corner.

Seriously they are both amazing in that scene. Its crazy to think neither of them got the nomination.

Underrated movie and I agree with you on the soundtrack, one of the best!

The end scene from The Fountain. Watched it for the first time on a hallucinogenic substance called 2ci and basically had a spiritual experience, like full on crying and shit.

Point Blank is just overflowing with amazing moments(the night club brawl, Angie Dickinson going slap crazy, the film's detour into the color yellow, and on and on) but if forced to go with just one it has to be Walker walking.
