RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA) — Police say an adult film actress and producer who were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of committing sexual acts with a girl may have other victims.

Melinda Smith, 35, and Jason Whitney, 43, were charged Tuesday with eight counts each of sexually abusing a child under the age of 10. They also face a count of possession while armed with a handgun.

Smith is also known as Mercedes Carrera, a porn star with an extensive number of credits on IMDB. Whitney is better known as Jay Allan, a producer and director of several pornography films.

Detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga police department say they were first notified of sexual acts against a girl under the age of 10 on Jan. 31. The girl was sexually abused repeatedly over four months by Smith and Whitney, according to police.

There are actually quite a few adult film actresses that are conservative for one reason or another. It always seems pretty bizarre to me.

On topic, I knew she was trash over her GamerGate support, among other things, but I didn't think she could actually get worse. Fuck the both of them.

I mean, their entire job is to present a persona that appeals to their audience. I'm sure some of them are legitimately conservative, but surely a fair number are just trying to find a niche.

This is where I'm at. I've known she was an ass for a long time, but I still wouldn't have seen this level of fucked up coming. There's only really two outspokenly conservative women in porn (there's others that are conservative, but smart enough to not talk about politics that much), and she was basically the more stand-offish of the two.

Also, if anyone's wondering how you can be a conservative porn performers/sex worker, most of them come at it from a libertarian/small government POV, as in basically just telling the government to stay out of my business and do whatever I want, including sex work.
