I don't think Silent Hill and Metal Gear are impossible, as today's Konami is all about using their back catalog for easy money (unlike the Konami of 5-8 years ago who actively didn't want to release anything). It's more a question of whether they want to use this service or do full collections like they have for Castlevania and Contra.

Shame that the levels look nice, but the worms themselves seem too small to upscale well.
Just give me at least some of these:
mgs 1, silent Hill games, god of war, sly cooper, jak and daxter, FF Tactics/Tactics Ogre

Oddworld wasn't even part of the list revealed last week or so, which is more surprising.
So trophies are optional for PS1 (& maybe PSP) titles. I'm kind of alright with that if it means they can still have stuff like rewind & it allows for a more varied selection like the PS3 days. I imagine it's more 1st party titles or if the developer/publisher wants them included.
It's very frustrating they added this amazing feature just as they forced 2FA which made it impossible to transfer PSP purchases from the PS3.
Ugh, hate that with PS2 games. Never felt right. Just let me use the Options button as the Start button.
Pretty cleaan for PSP game... now I'm curious about the Ace Combat game that released on the PSP. I passed it up at the time because I didn't have a PSP and was a graphics whore. But thought about trying to find it when I got my Vita.
Is there any chance they simply aren't active, yet? Back in the day, some games would apply them via patch/update, but I guess we'll see!
This is how it looks on PPSSPP too. The bilinear filter with this upscaled content is causing extra bluriness and artifacts on UI, but PSP had that filter natively

Im so excited for what this can bring in the future. Bring me Tekken 1, Tekken 3, MGS, Parasite Eve... This gen is going to be crazy!
It's possible but I think they would advertise them as a feature in the stores description for the game if they were there, and usually you could still earn the trophies when a game was in this state you just couldn't see them on your trophy list.
I replayed Parasite Eve on the Vita back in 2020 and it holds up so well. What a fine game it is. I would absolutely replay it again if it comes to PS5.
Parasite Eve I'm 99% sure Square will want to do themselves. Feels like a natural next project for the producer that worked on VIII Remaster and Chrono Cross.
I'm gonna assume Ridge Racer 2 will not be separately purchasable since it's not listed with a price on the store.
Trophies are optional? Excellent! That means they wouldn't be an obstacle to any games coming to the service. Hopefully the majority will though, given many people would like to have them with these games.
I think someone mentioned in the other thread that there are two versions for each? PS4 version and PS5 version? Because of being able to get sets of trophies for both individually.
I wonder if this means the PS5 versions take advantage of PS5 features, if it's a native app. 🤷🏾♂️
Yeah, this is how it's been when playing PS3 games on PS Now. They can't use the Share/Options button because those still have their own functions on the PS5.

That's actually kind of weird since you'd think games being installed on the PS5 SSD would at least load a bit faster.
I probably should worded that as "so it seems like trophies are optional", but considering Syphon Filter has them, yet Oddworld doesn't, nor does there seem to be mention of them for the other games linked in the OP, I would assume they're optional. But yeah, this is honestly what I was hoping they'd do, allow them as an option, but not required if the companies don't want to spend the time & money adding them. I enjoy earning trophies, but I would rather have the great selection of PS1/2 titles the PS3 have over the limited PS2 on PS4 selection despite them having trophies & upscaling.
Maybe the ones that get trophies will be exclusive to the PS+ tier, while the ones that don't will be available for purchase separately.

Sometimes emulators emulate the loading times for retro games. It's weird, but I guess it's a design choice on Sony's part.
I hope not. There's really no value for anyone to do that besides Sony themselves, since they want to push subscriptions. Third parties can have their cake and eat it too.
Worms can be purchased so it seems like it really just depends on the publisher and whether they want to sell them or not.
played them a lot on PS3.. It was cool because over here we got the NTSC games of 2 and 3 for PAL for those specifc games. Good times! Dino 1 and 2 please!
Might be the list isn't on the servers yet? Have you tried putting the console in offline mode and then looking at the trophy list?
