And the exact opposite happening from the other side. Such a freak out over a 9TF estimate when I heard it's perfectly fine. Then followed by a sudden appeal to insider rumors of 12TF when the past two OTs have centered around not trusting insiders and only relying on "facts". Anyone claiming to be above it all and not choosing sides is full of it. We all root for a team, and nothing wrong with that. Some just take it too far.

For people who haven't watched an AMD presentation, you should know they're always boring and awkward.
People here that say only 1% of costumers care about the power of their consoles are clearly vastly underestimating the number of enthusiast gamers or even tribalist gamers that want to say they chose the best "team". They even put a ludicrous "8K" on the SOC that is hidden deeply inside the box because it does matter the power marketing

Sony have their own marketing and reveal strategy. I think the fact that they appear to be sticking to that (e.g. Feb reveal) shows that they're not freaking about anything MS are doing. Whatever the specs end up being, I'm sure Sony are fine with their approach.

CES presentations are boring by nature, the only half fun one I've seen was the Tom Hanks' Sony disaster and the "or... a CEO" Qualcomm one.

I'm very thankful that I will be on the bus so I won't be able to watch this because I know it will feel like a waste of time after it's over.

AMD also just has the worst presentations in general it doesn't matter what it is. They don't have Jensen Huang to get everyone excited.
I'm pretty sure they will have slides in regards to the work they have done with both Sony and Microsoft.
And where is the RT core part? I think the RT will suck more than RTX nvidia. A 2070 is ~450mm² ok in 12nm but even with that, i'm skeptical
