The emulation in this collection is shit though; don't recommend even at the price. Legitimately scamming yourself more than Nintendo are.

The emulation didn't bother me , it's better than the deal that Nintendo is trying to sell on their service.

Emulation was a non-issue for me, too. Most reviews I've read said it was fine/good.

The rewind feature alone was a great QoL perk, but the VR feature was a major charmer for me.

Grabbed it for Series X in a previous sale!
No techie; so can't talk about emulation issues; but as a collection it is nice! Had fun with what I played; then again I beat Ninja Turtles back on NES so maybe I'm used to games that perform bad and control horrible or whatever. XD

M2 is usually awesome but they fucked up the Genesis Mini of all things. The input lag ruins some of the games on it for me.
You can at least fix that by jailbreaking it and unlocking the CPU (Shouldn't have to do that, but still...)

Whereas here you're just kinda stuck with shitty emulation period. I'd only ever recommend getting the PC version of this compilation so you can just take the ROMs and play them in a better emulation environment.

Input lag on this version renders it unplayable for me. Streets of Rage 2 was the first thing I tried and I couldn't time anything even after 10 minutes or so to see if I could adjust.

That would be awesome and everything but a collection like this isn't ever going to have that because all of the games are as one download it isn't like the rare replay collection for instance that allows you to download each game individually.

the platinum trophy should be unlocked when you beat Alex Kidd in Enchanted Castle without dying.

Also this compilation has crappy emulation and is really hard to play. my patented lag input test of "can I reliably pull of a double jump in Shinobi III" failed so it is conclusive.

Unless they fixed the issues, this is pretty much the worst way to experience these games. The lag is terrible, audio is fucked.

Hmm. That legitimately has me interested. Checked out some videos of it, and looks neat, but most of these are games I've either played a million times already, or have no interested in. Even with VR making it a "new" experience, I'm not sure if it's enough for me to bite, especially if the emulation isn't the best as people say.
