Sadly, one of the reason I had to stop gaming. :(

It's been on for months. So is this a release-window thing, or do they just set the price at $50 and leave it there?
I haven't been to the Walmart games department in a bit, but this is nearly as good as what I was getting with GCU (long since expired). Though not having the price online means rolling the dice on whether they have it in stock (can't buy online for in-store pickup at that price).
Yup, thankfully gamepass will be saving me a bit of money. It's sad though that some people think increasing the price of new games is a good idea because that would make games largely unaffordable in Canada.Meanwhile in Canada, $79.99 :(

Yeah, the prices stay at $50 (or less). So is this a release-window thing, or do they just set the price at $50 and leave it there?

I don't see Walmart elitists in that thread. Weird.I thought this was known
Buying a new game at Walmart for $49.94 (in store) feels so damn good
I just picked up Astral Chains when I wasn't planning to, but seeing it at a discount so close to launch made it too hard to pass on. I heard that Walmart recently started doing this if you buy the game in store, but seeing it with my own eyes.... its real! lol. This is honestly great for...www.resetera.com
Having attempted to call Walmarts in the past to ask about things, I have to disagree with this portion of your statement. You're gonna be there for awhile waiting.
Oh yeah, we have like 8 total. That explains a lot.Well it might also be because more self checkout stations. It's a big super walmart and there are ones on both sides. Like 15 or so on the grocery side.
Yep.Holy god, so many of you have been so embarrassing with these bougie Walmart comments, as if it's so far beneath you. 'We're a Target family, thank you very much.'
Yea. I Work at Walmart. Getting an extra 10% off and only paying 50 is love. Unfortunately, I work at Walmart
New to the forum?
I mean, it either would be $49.99 if it is still considered new, or lower if it is considered old.I hope Modern Warfare is still considered new when I go to buy it next week.
Why does this remind me of Ripley looking for Newt at the end of Aliens? 😂My favorite Walmart sports a parking lot illuminated with blinding lights and is littered with security cameras marked with obnoxious blue strobe lights
MW is on target's b2g1 free and is cheaper if you buy by Saturday. Add 3 games of $60 into your cart, checkout, then cancel and you'll be paying ~40+tax for MWI hope Modern Warfare is still considered new when I go to buy it next week.
I'm probably being selfish, but I wish it was an even deeper discount. Don't get me wrong, saving on new games is always nice but after taxes, you're probably only saving like 5-7 bucks so you might as well just spend the full $60 elsewhere.
You pay less in sales tax on a $50 game than a $60 oneI'm probably being selfish, but I wish it was an even deeper discount. Don't get me wrong, saving on new games is always nice but after taxes, you're probably only saving like 5-7 bucks so you might as well just spend the full $60 elsewhere.
So, I have been following the Luigi's Mansion 3 OT, and I have been seeing people ordering the game from several retailers at full price ($59.99). Sure, some people still have a Best Buy GCU membership, or maybe a Target Red Card and so on, but for people who don't have those options, there's Walmart.
Walmart has been selling all new games (including Nintendo's first party games) for $49.99 for a while now (at least all this year I think). I guess they really want people to go the electronics department.
For example, Luigi's Mansion 3 is $49.94 at Walmart, brand new, on release. This is for in-store only.
I bought it today. I was in the store to buy other stuff, so I went ahead and got it. Impulse buys.I mean, it either would be $49.99 if it is still considered new, or lower if it is considered old.
The $49.99 is not a launch price that is only available for a few weeks. It's Walmart's maximum price for new games.
