Blasphemy.
What bullshit? If it still has the bullshit with the soundtrack I will scream
I might well be mixing it up with quake 1, but I'm pretty sure there was some licensing crap where you didn't get the soundtrack with digital copies? So you had to find them online and fiddle with sourceports and shit just to play the game with its OST
yes

It's DEFINITELY the case for 1, but I swear it happened with 2 as well

Xbox first party so yes
There's an old_ver branch that's similar to Quake 1 when it got a remaster. old_ver is the original release for compatibility.Where on that page does it state that it's coming tomorrow? I'm not sure what I'm looking for here.
Ah okay, thank you for the explanation. There's an old_ver branch that's similar to Quake 1 when it got a remaster. old_ver is the original release for compatibility.
You aren't the only one. Multiplayer arena FPS need to come back.
maybe in 2025
Oh man, the hours I spent on the bus listening to this in high school. So many great hooks.Looking forward to hearing that bangin' Sonic Mayhem soundtrack again.
I don't think it was licensing, I think it was just how the game was programmed. With Quake 2 the CD was also a music CD that you could stick into a CD player and listen to the music on, and the game was programmed to play the music from the CD based on what level you were on and what not.I might well be mixing it up with quake 1, but I'm pretty sure there was some licensing crap where you didn't get the soundtrack with digital copies? If it's like the Q1 remaster, you'll get it free if you already own it on Steam. Otherwise, $10.Will there be upgrades from current versions of Q2, or is this a full-price release only?
Agree. Quake 3 was a mistake.Ah...

Not me. The beginning of the fall of gaming for me. Instead of a REAL campaign: just random maps/places against bots.
Ugh.
