Hey, here's another tell:

This vague ass description that could describe billions of people on this planet that doesn't mean anything.
So, let me guess, you're part of this billions of people as well that doesn't experience act of racism or you're just here being a dick?

You do know that central Asian people are part of the billions of people you're referring to here right? I suppose you'd call that vague as fuck too won't you?

Here’s a tip

Most people just say what they are, because most people tend to have pride in their background

Usually it’s trolls who stick with the “I’m a POC” and second note, that phrase always seems to get pulled out when it’s time to be defensive, and usually the person pulling it out is the contrarian on a race discussion

The other note is you came into dudes thread and wanted to argue with him about semantics so he lost patience with you 🤷🏿‍♂️

When some refers to a black guy as a black guy when they wouldn’t conversely say white guy. “So this big black guy gets out the car..” Would you say “So this big white guy gets out the car?”

All you have to say is Black Lives Matter lol

That phrase reveals all.

If you ask if they support BLM and they say “Yes, but....”

Lump em with the racists

When they whisper while talking about race. They know they're saying something offensive, but for some reason they think I'll agree with them.
When they say something along the lines of "those people"
Here's one using code words for other races.
Yeah, I've witnessed all of these. People around here love assuming I'm a racist asshole.

Here's another easy one:

Fair enough. I'm east Asian that got fucked with a lot growing up in a minority area of a major city, and it includes getting singled out as the only asian kid in the area and I got mugged and assaulted often. I wasn't trolling the OP. I only wanted clarification on what instances when people are saying, "Islam is not a race" and used that to justify racists acts.

To be honest, I still don't get it. But, whatever, I'll just take it as one of those things that I just don't understand at the moment and hopefully it will come to me in the near future.

Thinking people immigrating are a problem in any country

I hate that dumb term lol. “Not white” is too broad to mean anything
Like the above, this is fair. I'll be more explicit next time someone accuses me of being racist.

Literally every anti-immigration right wing movement in Europe for the past 20 years? I was willing to give you benefit of the doubt at first but at this point I think you're just purposely trolling me.

I'm really not trolling you. If you're describing Islamophobia, then I 100% understand what you mean. I just never heard, or at least I don't recall, people saying "islam is not a race" and then blatantly doing racist shit against central Asians.

It’s very simple: Muslims are an extremely racially coded minority group in the US, despite the fact that Muslims are not a race. People who use “Islam is not a race” as an argument do so to excuse their bigotry toward that racially coded group as not racist by virtue of that technical distinction. The example of Sikhs getting attacked after 9/11 is raised to show that Sikhs and Muslims are racially/ethnically coded similarly, despite being different religions — hence revealing the true issue, which is in fact rooted in racial/ethnic bigotry rather than religious doctrine.

I really do appreciate you taking your time to write out this lengthy explanation. If I'm getting this correctly, people that say "islam is not a race" is saying "I cannot be racist, because the Muslim religion isn't a race" by means of technicality/semantics? So, this is a means to do racists acts because muslims are racially coded as a central Asians/brown middle-eastern/south asian folks? I think I got it from your description.

Sorry to the OP that it took me a bit to understand.

Okay, I have a feeling you're getting out of my posts way more than I intended to communicate. I used the word intentions as a general idea (intend to help, intend to speak, intend to lie, and in the case of the wikipage, intend to hurt/harm/kill).

If you feel I'm being cavalier about the topic, then I just want to assure you that I'm not. I am only curious about how uttering "islam is not a race," used as an excuse to deflect one from being called racists.

I chose the words ignorance and bigotry because racism is a born of both ignorance and bigotry.

Yes, the Sheik guy was murdered in cold blood. The guy who did it may have thought this brown man was part of the Islamic faith or he just wanted to murder a brown man. He said he wanted to kill towel heads. If he's confusing Sheiks as muslims, then that's an act performed in ignorance and bigotry, which is also racist.

So, I'll just leave this thread since you're getting upset or something over an honest question.
Are you misspelling the word 'Sikhs' on purpose?

You can tell a mile away since they almost all wear red hats, or have a trump bumper sticker. It's never been easier to know.

"I'm not looking for the POPULAR opinion, I'm looking for the truth. She makes some really good points, although her argument isn't flawless, but who's is.
Thank you for your input though and I'll keep it in mind."

"I want information from all sides."

"I've been subject to racism, too. So I shouldn't be able to have a voice in this discussion?"

A white person posted that about Candace Owens' George Floyd video in response to someone highlighting how wrong she is and how wrong she is.

When they’re white & the only people at a protest regarding racial injustice with a megaphone.

When anyone white talks about how they’re 1/100th Native American. This one especially annoys me because both my mom’s parents actually had a Native American parent, and I’m not Native American. People need to stop claiming shit they know nothing about because they have some weirdly racist obsession with trying to distance themselves from their whiteness.
