Wait, so they got him on possession of child porn?

The infuriating thing is that folks knew about him for so long and let him get away with harming so many young girls.
Possession.........my man made child porn. That video of him in his basement peeing on and having sex with an underage girl has been known about.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in northern Illinois said Kelly is facing 13 counts, including child pornography, enticement of a minor to engage to engage in criminal sexual activity and obstruction of justice.
Kelly has already been charged with over 20 counts of sexual abuse. He was first charged in February with 10 counts of sexual abuse involving four women, some of them minors. In May, he was charged with an additional 11 felony counts, including some that carry a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

On the previous charges, Kelly was out on $100k bail ($1 million bond) paid by someone else. Back in late Feb:

R. Kelly was unable to come up with the $100,000 bail needed to get out of jail over the weekend, but court records indicate that on Monday a Romeoville woman posted the bond for Kelly, identifying herself on the bond slip as "a friend" of the singer's. https://trib.al/uDN2guB

Sometimes, I fear that Aaliyah will never get the justice/legacy she deserves.

This is a great, great start - but she literally passed away working her ass off to create a legacy for herself - and the only album available is the one produced by that monster - even though she went on to achieve SOOOO MUCH more without him. By 1997, NOBODY cared about the scandal until after she passed away - and it was brought back to light. She worked so hard to distance herself from him and create a timeless legacy but in 2019, all the general public has is her debut album (which he produced), a HORRIBLE biopic made by greedy people, a "MAC" collection that was panned. And.... that's about it.

She deserves so much more, man. She lost her LIFE in the most tragic of ways building her legacy at just 22. SMH. Fuck R. Kelly, and honestly fuck a lot of people that did her so wrong in life and death.

Her first album is great tho'. Even if in my opinion, that's a Aaliyah ft. R.Kelly album. Her uncle is the one to blame on the streaming / availability situation and it's fucked up.

Oh, I know everything about the uncle situation lmfao - trust me!

And as much as I do think AANBAN is underrated strictly from a musical standpoint (her vocals are so powerful for her age), it's frustrating that it's the only piece of her legacy still in print. One In A Million changed the game, and her self-titled album is one of the best R&B albums of all time imo. It sucks.

I mean, I'm an old man that actually bought and ripped those CDs when they were new, but is it really that hard to find them now, or are they just not available digitally? Because there's a big difference between "not available digitally" and that being "all the general public has".

I can't read R. Kelly's name without that melody where he tries to recruit girls in Ethiopia coming into my head instantly.

That song didn't aged well

(Nah the song is fucking dope, Jay-Z is on fire on that track, but you understand what i meant)

I would love for him to flat out describe everything that led him down this path. I wonder if the stuff with the sister was actually true and if so how damaging it was to his mental state. It's fascinating that some of the most talented people always seem to have very serious flaws.

Bury him under the prison. Fuck this guy. I can't believe people will still listen to his music.

I'm so glad that I threw all my R.Kelly records I've never owned in the trash 20 years ago. Man, what a creepy and shady dude.

If i had to stop listening to R.Kelly's music, with the amount of hits he produced / worked on, i'd be really sad. 12play and tp-2 dot com are 2 albums that i love way too much for that.

I mean it's probably hard to know everything he had his fingers in, so I understand that. But to listen to anything that he's performing seems wrong. If you want to keep listening to his music, you do what you want.

This might be finally it. Would be nice that we stop sweeping this shit under the rug and go after him and everyone like him who use their money to evade justice.
