I live in AZ and I dont think Ive ever seen one of these. Though I didnt know what it was, so maybe I just didnt notice.
My job basically requires me to drive long distances across the valley almost daily. Yeah, they are everywhere. A lot of time people will forego the flag entirely and just paint or stick a blue stripe on a black area of the car (like a heavily tinted rear window).

Seriously, do racists have so much free time in their hands that they'll chase another car just because of a fucking bumper sticker?

I can't even imagine a person running and panting into work "S-sorry I'm late boss. You WON'T believe what I had to do on my way to work today".

I wonder if this has ever happened to anybody flying a confederate flag while casually going about their day. Seems like flying the flag of national traitors would attract some kind of negative attention.

Glad the driver pulled over away from his home. I wouldn't want that triggered snowflake to know where I live.

Not gonna lie, I'm in AZ and I have a BLM hat in my car (no sticker) that I bought from a Veterans charity, not knowing the meaning(don't judge me, I thought it looked cool). I leave it in there for a little extra insurance in case I get pulled over. As a Vet myself I normally don't have any issues, but you never know.
How about some veteran's swag without the racist associations?

This one I think succinctly embodies how cops view their little club: as agents of vigilantism

Yes, yes they are.

These idiots honestly believe they're at war with any who doesn't think like them.

Could be some sort of PTSD if he's a veteran?
I'm sorry, but no. As a vet with PTSD symptoms (I have a hard time with fireworks and large crowds, especially at the same time, and have been suicidal in the past because of it), please don't make excuses for his racist actions.

These people have a fucked up world view and don't need excuses made for them. What they need is to get called out on their bullshit and the the consequences of their actions.

I've had someone (a complete stranger) straight up tell me they'd shoot Kaepernick in the back of his head while he's kneeling.

Read the comments section of Reston Now about anything involving non-white folk or the density increase. I’m honestly not at all surprised to see this video take place here.

Funny enough that's how I ended up with this hat. The two guys selling the hats for charity had camo patterns for each force, but they were out of Air Force patterns. I didn't want to wear an Army or Marine hat so I took the "black hat" because it looks cool. I never even wore it, befire I found out it was BLM. So then I just left it in my back seat.

As far as Vet swag. My wife tells me to get Vet plates, but I feel like that stuff is tacky in a way. Like I'm bragging or something.

I don't fuck with this. I don't even fuck with my hat. It just sits in my back seat.

That literally just means you support law enforcement. That's all. There's also one which has a red stripe that means you support firefighters. There's another one with a yellow stripe that means you support security officers. There's another one for EMTs. You guys need to chill out, it's cringy calling it the swastika... come on dawg, it was created in 1993
The swastika was also a 15,000-year old symbol, but today its meaning in western society is not the original meaning. It's almost like symbols can get appropriated and change meaning.

And you know it doesn't just mean supporting the police. At least I hope you do. It was one of the flags prominently featured by actual Nazis at the Charlottesville rally. It has become a "fuck minorities" symbol used in support of the murdering and oppression of non-white people by cops. Sure, there might be some people who are just ignorant and use the symbol for support of police (which would be a pretty dubious position to begin with), but it has been co-opted to become a full on Nazi symbol. See the photos from Charlottesville in the previous pages of this thread.

Weird how it shoots up right around the time of Black Lives Matter (2013) and has been featured prominently by anti-BLM activists and white nationalists.

My brother just pointed one of these out to me yesterday when he came down to visit.

I live in West LA, so this brand of asshole is rare. My brother lives in Victorville, which has a fair share of cop-loving, trump-supporting, and stupid residents. He said there's a lot of this out there and it's pretty frustrating. I would have never known this had anything to do with Blue Lives Matter and just thought it was USA flag.

This just boils my blood. I cannot fucking stand people like this. They are unbelievably ignorant. How do you teach someone like this a lesson? He's just going to keep on acting this way with no consequence. It's not acceptable.

What is this? Never seen it, but then I live in the SF Bay Area....
I just moved from the Bay Area, but we had a family on our old block that bought two houses parallel to each other facing the entrance to our cul-de-sac. They had an American flag raised on one house and a Don't Tread On Me Flag on another. They drove around in a flatbed truck (with one of them always in the bed) that had three confed flags flying.

It was a heavily Palestinian/Russian block, too, so I'm just glad nothing happened.

Wait.

What is this? I see it all the time.
Specifically this is supposed to be a visual representation of the “Thin Blue Line” which is a phrase most often used by law enforcement. It’s a figurative depiction of law enforcement as the barrier between order and anarchy. It comes from the “Thin Red Line” which was in reference to the British army holding off Russians during the Crimean War, and some think it really started getting usage in the 50’s by the LAPD.

The flag image itself is relatively a new thing which people use to denote support of law enforcement.

People also put Blue Line bumper stickers on their cars as a subtle “wink wink nudge nudge” to the cops so that they’ll be less likely to be pulled over and ticketed for traffic violations. Same reason why people will prominently display stickers you get from donating to police unions and charities on the back left window so the cop sees it when they are walking up to your driver door.

It's always redneck types like this that think its a good idea to approach someone's vehicle and berate them. Also, they seem to fear phones more than anything, as they may actually have to be held accountable for their actions.

I had something similar happen to me not too long ago. A guy was going about 30+ over the speed limit in a giant van, nearly hit an old woman who had to swerve to miss him, and didn't use a single signal when jumping across multiple lanes. I took a picture of his tag with my phone and he did not appreciate it very much. Got out of the car, came up to my window, and got incredibly upset that my phone was out instantly. He got a picture of MY tag as some sort of "own" on his part, but obviously it didn't mean anything. He too was wearing a shirt with his business name and phone number on it, so I did some research and the guy pulls about 200k a year with some BS contracting service he owns. Lucky guy.

As a Vet, you should probably not feign support for a group of individuals who genuinely do not give a shit about your contributions to society, and actively work against civil rights. Blue Lives Matter is about as racist as they come.

The blue represents police. They have ones with different single colors including red for firefighters and yellow/orange for EMT and I think even green for vets.

It seems they’re all bastardized versions of our flag for a money grab.
Thank you for the explanation. All of them I support and have been grateful for their services at different points in my life.

As we say in the UK what a bell end, a racist bell end to be precise. The idea that you can not even drive your car whilst minding your own business without some prick following you just to hurl racist abuse at you is such a fucking joke, glad the twat has been recorded and exposed on the internet.

There is nothing wrong with being grateful for said services, but you should understand that Blue Lives Matter isn't just a courtesy or acknowledgement of law enforcement - it exists purely as another "side" to Black Lives Matter, and implies the lives of police matter more than those they take advantage of on a near-daily basis.

It is inherently understood that the lives of police, EMTs, firefighters, etc. "matter" in some capacity, and there isn't opposition to said claim. Creating a slogan like this exists purely as a divisive catchphrase to create a sense of guilt just for merely supporting the fact that black people don't deserve to be gunned down, sometimes literally, by a police force that was originally created to control them.

I do have to say that insult contest was won by no one.
Haha. If only their similar insult tactics could've brought them together. I appreciated how they both boiled down to "nanny nanny boo boo" but with one inserting racial epithets and the other inserting variations on "you're a racist".

EDIT: shades of this in there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YClAMYTEuZ0 (Community The Art of Discourse)

EDIT2: More I think on it, the victim probably held their ground sufficiently. They seem pretty young too so I know I would've clammed up at a stranger approaching me like that.
