True, but even still. I could totally understand if he had a lot of guilt over this. Or if not guilt, just stress in general. Most people haven't and will not witness someone dying like that. This isn't even mentioning the stress of him being harassed by the racist dude. Hell of a few days for anyone.

I mean a legal determination to the effect that someone's death is not prosecutable isn't really comparable to a normative evaluation of the death, the value of the man's life, or whether he deserved it.

It is unsettling seeing people enjoying the fact that a stranger is dead. Of course, we know the context of the death, so I don't think anybody here would really call it a tragedy, but it is a death that could have been avoided if he wasn't a racist.
