This is where I am, but I'm not paying £40 knowing that things like the laggy UI, bloated open world, and poor delivery of dialogue/story will bother me in between all the shootbang.
£20 or less (maybe £25, we'll see) and I'm in.

is rage 2 and days gone considered divisive games? In my mind those games are ok, theyre fine , serviceable . First nier i would say is divisive , deadly premonition is divisive maybe GTA 4 is divisive? IDK
Good point. Price will drop soonish I would imagine. This is where I am, but I'm not paying £40 knowing that things like the laggy UI, bloated open world, and poor delivery of dialogue/story will bother me in between all the shootbang.

The trailers were definitely trying to make up for something that wasn't there in the actual game. It's like they looked at RAGE 2 and said to themselves "I have no idea how we're supposed to market this", so they pulled an Andrew WK song out of their ass and turned what little sense of humor the game does have up to 11, but only for the trailer.
If you liked Mad Max, the only way I can see you not liking RAGE 2 is if you just don't like first-person shooters and liked Mad Max more for its brawler-style combat. Otherwise, it's pretty much a mini-sequel to that game transplanted into another genre.I traded MGSV in for Mad Max and had more fun with it, even though Era/Old Place wasnt so hot on it. Im feeling like RAGE 2 mirroring Mad Max here from the comments.
The combat is supposed to be very good. That's the game's saving grace, it seems. From what I've seen I'd be shocked it reviewed over 80 MC. I looooved Mad Max so I thought this was an easy get for me. The lackluster combat and long stretches of empty roads turns me off.

As a shooter, I think RAGE 2 is significantly more polished and has much more depth than Mad Max did as a beat-em-up or whatever you want to call it.
The strongholds are pretty much the same thing here over again, just a bit larger to accommodate your more capable movement abilities and faster speed.I did like the Batman-like combat, but I can enjoy FPS's too. May only gripe with Mad Max was the lack of variety to the strongholds or whatever they were called
mad max was one of the best free flow combat in the market, without bullshit teleport and where positioning was actually important to chain combos, also the melee was heavy and grounded as fuck, for me was more fun than arkham or sleeping dogs game in the combat department. If you liked Mad Max, the only way I can see you not liking RAGE 2 is if you just don't like first-person shooters and liked Mad Max more for its brawler-style combat. How is this embarrassing? a 72 is a solid score. People tend to think of ratings as their school grade system - anything below a 70 is a failure. This just is not the case. There are games that are pretty fucking good that are sitting between 60-80 on these sites. I just don't understand how a score that is nearly 3/4 is bad...
Hahaha.
Looks like it's getting the lukewarm shrug it deserves.
Notice a lot of reviews mentioning how dull and unnecessary the open world is.
Ahh man, it's a real burden being right all the time.

I hate the 'have you played it' comment. No i dont have to actually play every shitty or mediocre game out there to know im not going to like it.
