Rahm Emanuel kicked off his post-mayoral career Tuesday by announcing that he is now a contributing editor for The Atlantic.

The former Chicago mayor will contribute frequent essays to The Atlantic's Ideas section, according to a statement from the publication. The announcement comes one day after Lori Lightfoot was sworn in as Chicago's new mayor.
Since late October 2018, Emanuel has written 12 articles — 13 overall since June 2017 — for The Atlantic. His most recent, "It's Time to Hold American Elites Accountable for Their Abuses," was published Tuesday.

Rahm was a terrible mayor, but The Atlantic is a fine publication. Really great long form reporting.

As someone who lives in Chicago, fuck Rahm Emmanuel. All he ever cared about was creating power for himself and enriching property developers. For his part in the Laquan McDonald cover-up ALONE, he should be under investigation.

World class motherfucker.

... didn't you explicitly argue against that while you were Obama's Chief of Staff?

If Rahm had his way the Affordable Care Act would have never happened. So yeah, this dude can go kick rocks. He doesn't care enough to get in the weeds, take some hits, and actually accomplish something.

All these shitheads just land on their feet when it comes to employment. Why did Obama even rock with him?
