Because they don't have a firm date. It's not confusing. It's coming in the first half of year 1. That's it. That's the communication. As in, sometime between the launch of Y5S1 and Y5S3

I find it kind of hilarious Siege's Lara Croft model is closer to the 360 generation than the amazing current gen Lara (meaning textures and geometry wise, the art style is obviously the classic).

I was looking to getting back into this game because I really enjoyed the short time I spent with it after launch. I already own the game, but to get all the characters is buying the ultimate edition the only way? It's on sale, so it's not much, but I didn't know if I had to do that since I own the game. I didn't see the characters on sale or specific season passes on PSN or the in game store.
I'm in the same boat, I own Y1 but missing subsequent years and don't fancy ponying up before a new season begins as I'm sure there will be a sale.
Got a pot of coffee on, my wife is gone on a work trip until tomorrow evening and I have nothing else happening today. Perfect day to spend in game learning these maps and characters. Only level 7 so lets see where we can bump that number up to.

Team killing has largely been solved. On console it's definitely always been more of a problem, but they added a reverse friendly fire system, so they'll end up killing themselves, it's also Squad-wide so if there are 4 dudes queued together and one TKs you, they ALL get reverse friendly fire.
How many ops do you have? She's very low on these priority list. What's your play style? Any other ops you want?

All year one ops, Glaz, Fuze, Finka, Ela. Yeah not much.
Remember as a defender you can set up your hatch rotations in the prep phase. Oryx gets that pistol shotgun that Alibi/Maestro get.
Generally it's best to avoid the Russian operators (except Finka) although Kapkan is a good beginner op. Put those traps on random doors and a lot of people will walk right through them.

wouldn´t, she looks cool but her gadget of being hidden from cameras requires quite good map knowledge to be useful. Also her guns suck quite abit :D
If you have the base game only and the Polish girls, i would recommend next:
Frost - places trapmats that insta knockdown enemies, easy-ish and great fun on defense
Blackbeard - just a rifleshield, so simple and gets you through a couple bullets and good for aggressive play
Hibana - very useful hard-wall-breaching gadget, can easily support your attacking team with it alone
Lesion - easy to throw around poison mines around corridors and defense sites
Nomad - knockdown mines on attack, great for defending the defuser on Bomb for example or just covering your rear

Also just a question: why everyone tries to get Ash and some other original operators as soon as possible, I mean I get their weapons are very good but they are also quite boring (imo).
It's because she's fast and has a really good weapon. People just abuse her at the beginning stages.
I'd also suggest Mira. Especially if you like to anchor and stay on site. Gives you a bunch of info on where the other side is coming from.
If you like, watch this video by pro player Doki, who breaks down all the OPs by tiers and goes into a pretty good detail of why each ranks where they do. Obviously, this doesn't matter to a beginner, or anyone who just dinks around like me. But it's good info to learn about the game and how operators function. For a casual player I hardly ever see Capitao played or banned and he is one of the most utility-filled characters in the game. For another example, I can see why IQ is top tier to competitive play, but I find her gadget boring and if I'm using it properly killing electronics from the floor above or below the site I miss all the action.
Varsitygaming has a similar video where he reviews all the DLC characters on a very detailed level and assigns a point total.
I really think you should unlock the base operators if you haven't yet. Aren't they only 500-1000 renown?

Caveira is my most picked defender and although her elite seems OK, I feel like her other comsetics are way better than it. I was excited to buy an elite for her, but I think I'm going to pass.
Lesion is my new favorite operator, thank you guys for suggesting him. Seeing toxins is great, I can always locate where enemies are, just wish he wasn't so popular, many times I had to choose another defender because he was taken. Now working on Nomad.
Enjoy seeing where the toxins are at for now since that's thankfully going away next patch.
Lesion, will still be strong, but his icons will be charged in how you see them within the month. Nomad is great. You can use the utility to help team flanks or protect yourself while playing alone/solo queing.
Thanks for the heads up. I know I shouldn't rely on that too much now :(

They may nerf him soon. He's one of my favorites. I think he's my most played defensive op. He's very good if you know what you're doing. HE used to have deployable shield as an item, but they took that away, which was a nerf to him.
It soft resets every season, your previous MMR still affects where it predicts you initially, but it's very loose (people can get more technical with how it numerically handles this) until you finish placements each season, and then it is pretty quick to change for the first 20-30 matches after too.
Today I had a chance to really shine. Premise: I only play quick matches for now.
4 vs 1 last man standing, took down 3 opponents with almost full life, then got cought like the idiot I am by two (2) Kapkan traps and died. We still managed to win and I was first, but damn, it wasn't the same.

So I've been hearing and witnessing a lot of complaint about keyboard and mouse on console lately. Has this been a big issue and is it or should it be allowed considering the majority are at a disadvantage with just a controller. What can be done to stop this if it is?
I'm finally realizing a lot of those times I get destroyed is from keyboard and mouse users who spam crouch+lean.
Also kapkan traps need to be more damaging to help against 3 speed rushers from just running straight into objective and holding it vs playing more strategically like it should be.

KB_M is an issue in every console FPS because you can't really detect it. It's still limited by things like turn radius of the analog sticks, but it's definitely a thing in higher ranks especially.
Just hopped in this weekend for the first time since launch. Between launch and the first expansion, I played this every day. Coming back, some familiarity for sure, but was uneasy playing any of the new operators as I wasnt sure how to. Lots of videos on YouTube, but was curious if ya'll had any recommendations of good ones to watch that would go over the DLC operators, and maybe a video on the maps. The ones I stumbled across werent really well done, IMO.
I was thinking: operators are basically what Treyarch have been trying to do with Black Ops lately without (imo) success. They aren't as interesting and fun to play like the ones in Siege.
He's already nerfed on the TTS which will be live in a few weeks. Basically you have to have line of sight and be fairly close to see your Gu markers on the hud, and the Gu mines don't do damage for the initial hit, and will only start tick damage after that. I play a lot of Lesion and I think it's a great change, it makes it so you have to remember where you placed your Gus and use the sound for good callouts to your team when they get tripped, and the damage change is good because it means they still serve their purpose of slowing down rushes but also won't ruin clutch moments.
There's really nothing they can do because the M/KB adapters are emulating a gamepad, so the console just sees it as another gamepad user. Fortnite already tried to detect them once and a simple firmware update defeated that entirely. It's been a growing thing among the console Siege community for the past couple years from what I've seen, there is a ton of posts on the Siege subreddit from people angry about m/kb adapters ruining ranked on console.
That's pretty unfortunate for console players especially on the ranked level.
I guess if you cant beat them join them but I know it's more comfortable using a controller especially for not so hardcore gamers.
