Well, it least I can play again. I'll need to adapt to some of the missing gadgets and Clash is an op I like to throw in when defending certain points but if that's what it takes for us to be able to play without exploits then I'm down with that.

Is this the first time an op or gadgets have been temporally disabled? I've been playing since Blood Orchid and I don't remember this ever happening so it's definitely serious if they are resorting to this and something that should be in place should an op or a gadget can be exploited in such a way.

Yep it's the first time. I'm glad they took this step. Temporarily it's better

Video of the Kafe rework is on Reddit. It feels very odd to be so familiar with the original map. The boxy room to the right of the front entrance and the kitchen remind me a lot of Bartlett. A lot of clutter like bottles and monitors is gone and that looks sterile but it will be better for playing in. There's also only one window on white hallway and one on the upper old bomb location (if I saw that correctly).

Hmmmm it looks like they removed some of the map detail. There used to be a shelving unit by the rear entrance that's just gone to name one. I used to hide a Valk camera there :/

Some areas in the kitchen seem really open so we'll see how it plays.

Bus Stop only has one window as well. Notably, the floor in Train/Mining is soft! That will totally change that site as well as making a kitchen attack from above possible.

I'm 1440p/165hz GSync. GTX 1080, i7 6700k. Very modest overclocks. I'm going to say I get like 100-120fps most of the time, with pretty random video settings probably vaguely modeled after something some pro or youtuber said to do. I'm definitely GPU limited.

Those new operators seem rather lackluster. Not only are their gadgets just recycled stuff from things that are already in the game, they don't even seem to have new weapons. Pretty disappointing.

I agree, particularly Warden being a 1-speed and the MPX as his primary. I run Valkyrie a bit on certain maps and I'm not a big fan of that gun. It's also strange that Wokk as an attacker seems to be getting a defender loadout. Does that make her the first attacker with no ACOG?

The guns in the leaked picture may be just there until they get guns license maybe?

I wish the MPX had more power, Ubi seems to think its in an okay place but of course these stats are based on Pro Leauge. Valk is probably my least picked just based on how her gun really isnt up to par with any other defenders, Or maybe I just suck and am ignorant about it.

This new ranked is worrying me as a solo player.

If you are defending you are more likely to win the match as defending it known to be easier than attacking and if there is only a couple of people in a actual squad (communicating at least) on the opposing team and "your team" are all solo you don't really stand a chance.

When this mode was playable before I would often win the match when the team I was on was defending first, the pick and ban and bomb only don't really bother me but I feel that it is now going to be even more weighted towards squads and even more so if they are defending first.

I swear I saw a new video where Sledge's hammer is renamed "Final Thought" similar to how Money's shield is now "Le Roc." It was visible when you observe your teammate as Sledge after you die. I swear I'm not crazy.

Ahh, they just called it Journey's End on the Milan stream. That's what it was.

E2: What! Dark Zero has it called Journey's End when BC plays Sledge, but Empire still has the regular Breaching Hammer in the observer.

EMPs are called Screw Top, and Ash's charges have a new name too.

E3: The special names relate to OPs being their Elite versions. Here ends this journey.

The main thing is the lack of new weapons for the new ops - and they are weapons that don't fill me with excitement. FMG doesn't fill me with excitement and I've already posted my opinion on the MPX that Warden will use. At least I get the choice of between the SMG-12 and a pistol with Warden unlike Dokkaebi/Vigil (as a console player, I can't use either of their machine pistols.)

On the other side, I don't think either op will come into the game as overpowered. Time will tell.

EDIT: Also, I thought they were adding a 4th bomb site to Kafe but in the reveal panel it only looked like they moved one of the 2nd floor bombs to another room, so still only 3 bomb sites?

EDIT 2: Is there any update on Lion's status in Pro League for the new season? After all, he was considered "quarantined" and not "banned" when he was removed from Pro League while the operator went through a rework. Now that the reworked Lion became available during the current season, I was wondering if they would now lift his "quarantined" status.

Lion is pretty much dead after the nerf. Nobody bothers with him anymore or let's say his pick rate in general now is less than what it used to be
