These people keep tripping over themselves to show how little they care for the right to simply exist of others. Disgusting, fuck that guy.

Eddie Redmayne supported her? Fucking hell.
I was really surprised too, because last I heard about him, it was this:
And tbh, I just took the headline at face value.

Buuuut then I read this:

Calling the hatred trans people face "equally disgusting" as the comments Rowling gets...

It's bad enough that these morons keep going out of their way to defend a piece of shit like Rowling.

The thing that really gets me, though, is how they keep trying to micromanage HOW people react to her shitty, transphobic views. Like they're more bothered by the way people express their anger than the issue they're mad about. It gives off very "All Lives Matter" vibes.

Why do people feel the need to alienate a lot of their fan base to protect one of the world’s richest women?

The world's most priveleged and powerful can have hurt feelings too you know.
Did you even once stop to think about the feelings of the Establishment? Having people ask hard questions about your cultural hegemony, well, it hurts.

Ralph Fiennes (paraphrased) said:
The need to condemn bigotry that leads to harm, hatred, oppression, violence and death is irrational.
It's disturbing that people oppose such bigotry by being rude to those who spread it. Rudeness to bigots is the real bigotry.
Now, unlike trans people, those who spread transphobic bigotry, those are people I can understand and empathize with.
The fuck?

Is he some kind of emotionally derailed moron? Or another disingenuous rightwing asshole?
Maybe both?

What’s disturbing is the transphobia you fucking dumb piece of shit.

Like what? This “age of accusation?” So we should just go back to the early 1900’s where gay people couldn’t come out, black people had to know their place, and trans people couldn’t be who they are? Guys I guess women should just keep their experiences with sexual assault a secret. Don’t want to be accusatory towards harmful people. Gotta think about the bigots and abusers I guess...

Man I am soooo fed up with this shit.

Time and time again we are shown that rich and famous people wield power without understanding it.

"X said 1(!) mean thing and then got 100 mean comments so X has it way, way worse".

Ok, but X has the power and audience to project their 'mean' comment to millions of impressionable people you fucking dolt.

"She only wants to take your rights and safety nets away, all while stirring people up to violence against you... Why do you have to be so sensitive?*

Fuck TERFS and their enablers.

Such a shitty stance “views that differs from theirs”. Don’t fucking act like both points of view have equal merit you fuck.

It's so surreally unlikely how Harry, Hermione and Ron's actors condemn Rowling while Draco and Voldemort's support it, hahah. If you saw this kind of 1:1 actor / character moral alignment in a fictional situation (say, the "actors" of a show-within-a-show mirroring the ethics of their characters) you would roll your eyes at the obviousness and unlikeliness of it. :D

Seems like a fitting take for Voldemort, to be honest.
Don't forget his role in Schindler's List. :)

My god. I missed them saying anything.
Not surprised Draco Malfoy would side with the TERF.
Tom Felton liked a few JKR's tweets I think. For Evanna Lynch it's more that she thinks people should block JKR instead of responding. She seems pro-trans rights tho.
I was going off that list posted above. I want to hope those two aren't outright defending her. I like Felton and hate to think he'd be that dumb. He genuinely seemed smarter.

Welp, you can fuck off Ralph. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, assume he didn't quite know the depth of her bigotry, etc. He seems to be "both sidsing" it. You know, hear her out! She has opinions too! Just no.

He has that serial-killer stare.
He played a serial killer in Red Dragon too...

Why do these people think that universal adoration is something that is owed to them, sight unseen?

Why does their argument always boil down to “It’s not right that people get to choose to not be fans of a person because of the things that they say”?
I can only guess is that celebrities are used to having their asses licked as they have been for decades. But in this age of social media where all your political views are known to everyone people are rightly calling them out on their bullshit and their narcissistic egos can't take that they longer have universal adoration.

He can't understand because he hasn't even tried to listen to those affected beyond Joanne herself.

Just like everyone else defending her.
