Update (5-10):

Confirmed.

Original Post:

So it all began when Call of Duty made this tweet:

E0qYqSlXoAIFU-V

People have been able to generate tweets like this with their stats... but as you can quite see, uh... doesn't seem legit. Not to mention the account doesn't exist.

Then as others pointed out:

and then the CoD twitter also quoted a tweet from last month just earlier:

I believe this would mark the 3rd official crossover stuff, the previous two being Leatherface and Jigsaw. Though there's been outfits and such that are unofficial references to other stuff like Aliens.

I assume that just like Leatherface and Jigsaw can be used in MW19 MP as well, I'm guessing Rambo will be usable in Black Ops Cold War.

Work
Fuck it, sure. Fortnite gets this shit all the time and I think 80s action characters are perfect for Warzone. I'll buy this shit.

Remember what first blood was about?
Certainly would be awesome if games would explore themes like this.

An epilogue similar to what Pirates! had for character would be incredible.
Depending on what you do in missions and career, it would generate small story of the characters life afterward. (From very bad to good, possibility of family, violence, ife with injuries.. etc.)

Keep information about this from the press and reactions from players should be interesting.

Please be true! I haven't bought any Warzone skins yet but I'd buy this.

This makes complete sense for a series that just started openly waving it's boner for the Reagan era openly.

Fuck Rambo.

My other half had never seen a Rambo film and only knew the 'larger then life' character he became, parodied so often in media.

I showed her First Blood and she was bawling by the end, so not what she was expecting.

So i did it again with Rocky 1

Being tied to Call of Duty is holding Warzone back, I would welcome them detaching it and just became more wacky like the game "Broforce. I am more inclined to spend money on fun action dude skins than these Call of Duty character skins since I don't know any of these people.

Skins in FPS has always been a weird thing to me, but more collabs for people is always good
The point isn't to see it.
the point is for you to express yourself to other players, especially if you commonly play with friends.
Like one of my favorite skins in the game, Army of Two Bulldozer I don't use with my friend because thats his favorite and only used skin.
same for green Roze and another friend.

I wouldn't say its Call of Duty specifically but it 100% is an issue being locked to the current mainline COD and thus limited by the 10ish skins Treyarch uploads per half season.

I like the COD mobile direction more imo where they can go all out but also pump out simple recolors of skins to really improve the variety.

Whereas MW/WZ would only have
ui_loot_operator_west_charly_5_1.png

Mobile has that
these

and
charly-character-cod-mobile-small.jpg

I wish MW could still get skins for Warzone.

I really wish someone would actually watch First Blood before doing these crossovers

Its fun seeing so many people mad about this and complaining about their serious shoot bang game. Yet it regularly has shit like Anime skins and wacky dragon laser guns and shit added. Yea did a guy dressed up as the doll from SAW just shank me?

Personally the Saw and Leatherface skins were just a step too far for Modern Warfare specifically imo.
Rambo, Arnold, etc on the other hand fit thematically despite being inherently out of place.

Warzone on the other hand has had 2 freaking zombie events one of which lead to the map change.
The entire basis is crazy at this point, Warzone should have its own cosmetic pipeline at this point.
Add Rambo
add Arnold
add Infinite Warfare characters and Black Ops specialists
etc
