Has there been ANY news at all on the game yet? Given the online focus of Borderlands 2, and the way the industry has moved since it's release, I'm really expecting some kind of online GaaS format here.
I hope I'm wrong though. Speaking as a person who much prefers singleplayer experiences, mind you.

It's on UE4, they showed off a tech demo at GDC last year with an emphasis on their sobel PP and their PBR solution.
The procederal cross hatching materials is nothing groundbreaking but pretty cool nonetheless.
The solution is to decompress the cargo bay...
I loved Borderlands but I found 1 more enjoyable than 2 or presequel. Not having too much hope that this is like 1 though.

Do I want Borderlands 3? Hell yes.

Same here. Unfortunately, it's a perfect fit from a business perspective.
Kind of makes you think that with all these third party games being (potentially) announced here, it might mean that E3 is going to be next gen heavy in terms of game announcements
We're starting to get a clearer picture of those 10 new games for the Game Awards :

Is Prime 4 considered new though? It already got announced, no?

If PS5 is releasing holiday 2019 or before E3 2020 then yeah. Which is highly likely I guess.
Every multiplayer game going forward will be GaaS, and almost every multiplayer game this gen and last were some sort of GaaS. I mean, looks at the wild number of expansions all 3 games had...in a way, Borderlands could be considered the first PvE GaaS game.
What different is there between Destiny 2 and Borderlands 2, as far as adding content and updated frequency, while charging for expansions and cosmetics?
Borderlands 3 is going to be fascinating since so much shit happened since Borderlands 2 in the loot and shoot world.

To note, unless I missed something, The Avengers doesn't have a notably solid rumor base pointing toward its unveil, so don't get too disappointed if it doesn't show up.

The Russo brothers are attending the show. Pretty sure they're going there for a reason. What else could it be than the Avengers game ?

Well, the presenters are there to hand out awards. Like they also attended E3 and it was just to have a panel chatting with Donald Mustard and Geoff Keighley about the future of gaming.
I'm pretty sure by "New game", they mean games that we haven't seen anything about. Metroid Prime 4 wasn't even a teaser, just the titke. For the Avengers, we just know the game is in development. So those would be qualified as new - I think so.
I didn't know cool. So a new Mortal Kombat ?
I just hope you're wrong because it would mean even mroe games for us if you are. :P
I lost any patience for his gross, desperate self-promotion after he "complained" about the models for one of his games being "leaked" on an NSFW board he clearly had made on Reddit, hoping people would make pornography of the characters like Overwatch.

Well, remember, Lootbox has a different meaning in the context of borderlands, but man, i hope we don't get to the point where it's like "remember when loot box in borderlands meant something different?"
That's a fair point. But I will tend to believe something is up. We'll see.
This is what's gonna happen. Dude threw Borderlands under the bus when talking about why Battleborn failed so it's obvious which IP he cares about more.
Metroid Prime 4 wouldn't count as a new game. Also you're forgetting the Obsidian RPG and Mortal Kombat XI.
Yeah, I don't think Borderlands 3 will be any good. They somehow, by some total fluke, had a good thing happening with 1, then tried to do the same to death, being increasingly cringy and obnoxious. Remember when Claptrap was still at least a little bit funny? Yeah, that was two games ago.
I just finally bought that Handsome Jack Collection on the PSN sale today. I've played the hell out of it on PS3. Gonna go back through now on PS4 in anticipation.
I thought I remembered him saying something about being interested in bringing either 2 or 3 to Switch but for whatever reason they aren't going to be able to.
I wouldn't expect this on Switch. And if 2 and the Pre sequel are happening on Switch they wouldn't announce that here then turn around and announce 3 for everything but Switch.
Basically, I wouldn't expect anything from this series on Switch.
Yeh he said they were "in talks" before the Switch launched. But that Nintendo seemed to have different priorities at the time. That in itself doesn't tell us much about what exactly they were discussing. Probably Gearbox wanted a fortune to make BL3 exclusive to Switch and Nintendo wasn't willing to pay it. Now that the Switch is such a success, I would say gearbox probably has the tables turned on how they would play a deal like that.
I think it is safe to assume if they were considering BL on Switch before it launched, they are DEFINITELY considering it now, if not already working toward it.
Pre-sequel is pretty much just more of 2, for better or worse. If you're looking for something fresh then waiting for 3 would probably be more appropriate.
All great games though, imo. :)
I mean, the problem was always just last-gen consoles being too bottlenecked. On PC and PS4/XB1 it loads pretty snappily. Wouldn't be shocked if this one were more open world as well to do away with the amount of area loads now that consoles can handle that.
Ehhh I'd keep my expectations low in this case and be pleasantly surprised if it pans out.
