The tweet in question is here, which contains a video of a cat and a crab being encouraged to fight, then laughing when the crab gets the cat with it's claw.

Randy followed up with this explanation.

I'm not really a big animal lover, but I respect them enough to abhor animal cruelty. Forcing domesticated animals, out of their natural habitat, to fight each other for your entertainment is cruel and inhumane.

I don't believe that Randy had anything to do with creating the video, he's is just sharing it and commenting on it.

Borderlands 3 releases on 13 September 2019.

Saw the video here and didn't really see where the encouragemet of fighting was. It seem like the cat was messing with the crab and got pinch.

Y'all sure don't care much about animal cruelty in veganism threads in the OT so whatever. If you can post a picture of a steak or bacon, it follows you can post the production process and any animal cruelty less horrific than factory farming.

Ah sorry, I didn't realise that would happen, I had attempted to make sure no one would see the video without warning beforehand. Was there anything I could have done to prevent that? Did it just see the tweet in the op and automatically tweet it?

As much as I love animals and hope the cat was okay I did click this topic expecting to see a more contextual setup of people trying to start animal fighting or someone directly abusing an animal.

Not entirely sure why there is a crab and a cat interacting, so those filming could well have purposefully put them together, but besides Randy's stupid word salad and choice to retweet this it's verging a bit on a bitch eating crackers moment.

Or more a case of are we going to treat Randy's Twitter account like Trumps?

OT: I feel bad for the cat man, I'm a huge cat person, so this kind of pissed me off. I don't really see the humor in it, and honestly, I'm kind of wondering how the hell Pitchford manages to keep his job when he has a major PR snafu every other week. The dude is basically Trump 2 at this point.

People don't like to be reminded that if they eat meat but abhor animal cruelty they end up as hypocrites. There isn't a valid argument against what you said but I doubt people will want to face it.
