The list below i from GOTY Picks Blog, which has been tracking GOTY awards since 2003. Please don't use this thread to complain about the games chosen, but rather simply rank the ones that were.

Here is the list in chronological order:

Here is my attempt at ranking them, from favorite to least favorite:

The bottom 2 were ridiculously easy to choose, but I think TWD takes the badge of dishonor due to being such a technical disaster. The top 2 were equally easy, with HL2 and TW3 being at the peak of their respective genres. Everything in between was a bit fuzzier and could probably be swapped around a bit. Like I put Oblivion at #13 but I still enjoyed the game at the time and might have put it higher on a different day. I put the two Uncharted games together because I feel they are practically interchangeable and run together in my memory anyway.

KOTOR and Uncharted 4 are down at the bottom because I haven't actually played those games. What's particularly impressive about RE4 and HL2 is that I didn't get round to playing either until years later. They're just that good.

This is ridiculously difficult, though I haven't played all of these games.

I'd say:

2. The Last of Us (mainly due to the strength of the secret best part of the game, Factions PVP)
3. Resident Evil 4
4. Breath of the Wild (though the first 30~ hours of playing this was some of the best joy from a game since I was a kid)
5. Red Dead Redemption

7. Bioshock
8. Fallout 3
9. KOTOR
10. Skyrim
11. Oblivion

Games I haven't played and have no real desire to:

The first 4 games are so fucking difficult to order, because those are four of my all time favorite games ever and really, any one of those games could be in any order 1-4.

1. The Witcher 3 - I gush a lot about it so gonna leave it at that.
2. Half life 2 - was my first proper PC game and my first build(got late into gaming)
3. TLOU the emotional weight and character writing /performances elevate the game above another zombie game.
4. Skyrim - had lots and lots of fun with this one, even tho in hindsight I see too many flaws to go back to .
5. Uncharted 4 best UC game by far, with more character driven approach to writing, more down time and just overall more intimate experience . And those graphics!
6. Walking Dead I was high on that telltale train , really really liked it. Glad it won VGAs
7. Oblivion from what I remember I enjoyed the landscape as much as skyrim, the difference was , that oblivion had much better quest writing .
8. Fallout 3 it had its hooks in me for like 50h , thats good enough
9 - 15 Dont care about the rest . (not played KOTOR or BOTW)

Top and bottom 5 were pretty easy. The middle though was a bit more difficult. I really enjoyed Fallout, Read Dead and Uncharted 2 so it was pretty much as if I picked them out of a hat. I left off Witcher and Dragon Age because I haven't played them.
