If you decide to get up and arms and get mad that she is "generalizing" you co-sign the harassment by not getting mad at that. Your ego is literally making you overlook the incessant harassment that she is receiving. Everyone with a functioning brain knows that good men exist... However, the world is also full of shit bag men. And as a guy, if you can't see and acknowledge that first then I do not know what to tell you. This isn't about hating men or ourselves, it's about having the respect and integrity to stand by those on the side of those who may need it. We are not going to move forward if guys are getting butthurt over statements like her's, there is a great chance she doesn't hate men at all :lol.
