It's time to let my daily streak end I'm so bored again I spent almost all my rdo cash on clothes
I actively dissatisfied, as in, the fucker cannot go to the next village without running out of stamina, but at this point seeing how I seem to be the only one bothered by this maybe I'm doing something wrong...

Should I farm apples or whatever and keep feeding him when it runs out of stamina? How do you guys manage when a mission sends you away? I remember carrying back a bounty and getting swarmed by enemies can't the damn horse simply can't run more than a couple of minutes before going dry.

You gotta level up your horse the starter one is hot trash I agree with you on that though. The best way to level up your horse is by leading it head over to Annesburg and lead it through the mountains until it's rank 4 bonding.

I got into a solo server for almost two hours today found 2 perfect cougars and a perfect elk along with a ton of perfect critters. I got 4 levels today went from 71 - 75 not bad for a day off wasted on RDO.

Certainly looks like a fun update. Moonshining sounds awesome.

Look for much more to come to Red Dead Online alongside Moonshiners on December 13th - including Outlaw Pass No. 2, new Moonshiner role unlocks, the new Navy Revolver, additional clothing options and an increase in the amount of outfit slots in your Wardrobe.

Yay, new outlaw pass. Interesting the update comes out on a Friday instead of a Tuesday like the others.

People are saying or guessing that GTAO is getting an update on the tenth. I'm pretty surprised we are getting the update so early in the month I thought for sure it would be the 17th.

A bit of info for the next update

Moonshine
For the lazy:

MOONSHINERS: A NEW FRONTIER PURSUIT COMING DECEMBER 13TH TO RED DEAD ONLINE

2b506480b536c1cd86c7f0ac1b4e02247cf24ac7.jpg

In an America not yet fully governed by law, opportunity abounds for the lawless - wild open space ready and waiting for the ruthless and ambitious to carve a new future for themselves. How better to make your fortune than to become a black-market Moonshiner, the all-new Frontier Pursuit coming to Red Dead Online on December 13th. Establish your own bootlegging business in this new Specialist Role – an ideal fit for players progressing along the Trader path or anyone seeking a property to call their own. Unlock unique role-specific skills as you perfect your distillation methods, avoid the law, and put rival peddlers out of business. If you're lucky, you might survive long enough to open your own speakeasy.

Any active Trader who has completed a sell mission or reached Rank 5 in the Trader progression will receive an introduction via Cripps to meet the infamous Maggie Fike - an experienced bootlegger with the scars to prove it - down at Emerald Ranch. Maggie's got the connections and the knowledge to help you get your business up and running.

Purchase a Moonshining Shack and you will be on your way. To passers-by, the Shack is an unassuming dwelling, the main floor acting as a front with all the details of an ordinary homestead. The basement, however, is where you'll ultimately get down to business.

Owning and operating the Moonshine business is just part of your role. You'll also work with Maggie through a series of story missions to be played solo or cooperatively as you help her get revenge on those who tried to take her down. As you grow the business (and eliminate a rival operation), you'll learn new recipes and techniques that help make your moonshine the best by a country mile. You'll also have the opportunity to set up your own underground Bar serving your own shine, with customizable décor and the option to add a country band complete with dance floor to entertain your friends and clientele.

Strange that we're getting the Colt 1851 (or 1861) Navy Revolver before the M1899 which is already in the PC version.

Unfortunately I suspect they'll have the same issues with the moonshiner thing as they do with camps.
My guess is that they'll work the same way as the bunkers in GTAO, only instead of a corona there'll be an RDO fast travel post style of interaction.

Some level 200 something sat on a mountain for like 7 minutes while he waited for me to turn in my bounty so he could snipe me. Nice guy though he didn't destroy my wagon just sniped me and ran off to the fast travel post up the road.

I'd be more excited for moonshiners if they weren't following the GTAO model.

It's boring as shit just doing supply and delivery missions

Yeahhhh. I'll wait to pass final judgment, but that was my first thought as well. More GTAO-esque 'Here's a business property to develop through a tedious grind of missions and absurdly expensive upgrades" . I was hoping they'd be a bit more creative given how different of an experience RDO is, but on paper this definitely feels like more of the same. Disappointing.

Here's the page for this week's perks

Collectors who find the Ace of Swords, Gran Corazon Madeira and 1800 Gold Dollar can return the completed Gambler's Choice Collection to Madam Nazar for a substantial sum. If you're having trouble tracking down the famed wanderer, simply turn in the collection at your local Post Office.

Those looking for a true test of skill, accuracy and resourcefulness will be interested in this week's Featured Series, Free Aim: Make It Count, which challenges players to eliminate the opposition with nothing more than a Bow & Arrow or Throwing Knives. Compete inside an ever-shrinking game area until just one eagle-eyed outlaw is left alive.

All Posse Leaders will receive a complimentary Treasure Map this week, while players looking to rank up will receive an additional 40% XP for taking part in any Free Roam Event, Free Roam Mission, Bounty Mission, Trader Resupply Mission, A Land of Opportunities Mission, Showdown Mode or Race.

Those looking to form a band of merry misfits can take 50% off the cost of setting up a Persistent Posse, this week, as well as 30% off Race Horses and Horse Tack. The option to Change Appearance (found in the Player Menu) is also discounted by 30%, and gunslingers can take 30% off Gunbelts and Weapon Metals.

Bought the good rattlesnake saddle last night. Could tell a difference immediately between the old one I'd been using.

There is also:
Rise and Moonshine

Or a mix of the two ideas:
Time to Rise and Moonshine

(Moon)Shine On You Crazy Gold Bar

Legendary bounties are actually a great way to get xp I was ignoring them but if you take 20-30 minutes you'll get like almost 2k worth of xp at the end which is a level for a lower rank and a good chunk of a level for someone in the 70s.

Should I save my treasure maps for next Friday when the Outlaw pass is back or should I open them now I have like 10 or 15 of them.

If you have any collections that are ready to sell, or nearly ready to sell, it's probably worth hanging onto them until the new Outlaw Pass starts, so that you can rank it up really quickly.

I'm having fun with the character edit sale I've changed my appearance 4 times now that I've got collector to rank 16 money is so easy to get. I finally decided on making my character look like my favorite actor or as close as I could get with the creators limitations.

Finally hit 58 yesterday and got a Missouri Fox Trotter. It's notably faster than my previous horse (which I loved regardless), but I still haven't seen how they react to predators. Gonna try a Turkoman at 60 to compare, I feel like I'm swimming in money at this point (please Rockstar, don't nerf Collector).

Is there something i need to know before starting RDO? The only thing i know is that i must choose my horse carefully during one of the main mission, whatever that means

You should save up money to buy a shotgun and a rifle. You should save up gold to get started on the roles as soon as possible. Save up either on getting a better horse whenever you can. That about it. I don't know about choosing your horse carefully, as I'm pretty sure they're all shitty regardless.

Understand that it will be a slow process unless you decide to drop some cash. Money will be tight. Log in every day to complete your dalies that you can. There are plenty of YouTube videos on every one of them at this point. That 2.5x at 21 days is the fastest way to earn gold that logging in for 5 minutes to keep it up is worth it, even during slow periods, and will mean you never have to think about money again.

Save up gold for the collector role because it's the easiest way to make in game money and ridiculous Xp. It will mean nothing is out of reach money wise as long as your willing to throw in some time following the online maps. I would honestly say, it might've worth it to drop some cash on the one time per account cheap gold special to boost your way there and fast track getting whatever you want when you want it.

Your starting horse is trash regardless, but everything is serviceable and you would only feel the difference after you get better ones. Don't worry about it until you get money or gold to drop on a high stat one.

Much like the single player, patience is the key. It's easy to look at all the stuff and get a bad case of FOMO going, but just roll at your own pace. Most everyone playing just minds their business.

Also turn on defensive mode.

Omg yes. Turn on defensive and avoid the two pistol symbol free roam missions unless you want to risk pvp.

Understand that RDO is basically a simulator. There werent really goals, until that frontier pursuit update. It's you being a badass cowboy/girl, looking cool and feeling cool. It's a chill and relaxing experience unlike GTA

The starter horse really sucks you have to level it up to get it to be half way decent an easy way to do that is to press R2 or whatever the pc button is to interact with your horse and then press lead do that until it's bonding level 3 or 4 and it will be all right to get around on you level quick now so you shouldn't have to deal with the starter horse for long.

Level 24 here and still on Starting horse, it sucks, indeed.

Gotta get around changing that but not before I buy that sweet sweet metal detector

Outposts kinda suck. They need to make them harder with better rewards because currently they are just annoying to do without too much pay off. Finding Madam Nazar item gives you more XP sometimes XD
