Spoiler thread isn't as bad as I thought, but i'm still cautious because its only a matter of time before someone ruins it. Got ruined by some of it because some of the gameplay videos posted are seemingly from the story missions

Question. I just preordered this fro Best Buy for in store pick up. Anybody know if I'll be able to get this Thursday night as well?

If you google Best Buy Events and go to that page, it'll have something where you can find Best Buy's that are doing the Thursday night release.

if you order online for in store pick up, you are fine, if you ordered for delivery, you can't just show up at the store, if that is what you are asking

Im guessing there haven't been any X1X vs PS4Pro comparisons yet have there? Got the PS4 physical version pre-ordered but Id drop it for the X version if there any performance improvements. I've got a 1080p TV so 4K doesn't matter to me (I do realize things might be a bit crisper on the X in 1080p if it has a higher resolution that it's down-sampling from).

They X version will almost certainly better in some kind of area. If you have both consoles, why would you go for the Pro?

Nah, it's much improved. It looks like RDR's physics but with much more weight, which is good imo. Some of those kills looked gruesome because of it.
Took a peek at some of the new leaked footage and I think that's enough for me. I want to go in Thursday night feeling fresh.
Don't think the online access is earlier.
Only some outfits, a gun and a horse in online will be available day one.

I'm glad it's not Max Payne levels of action and all that. Just a simple dive, a simple evading mechanic is bloody amazing.
oh...I though the online portion was coming out 30 days ahead of the xbox version for PS4. Didnt realize it was just the minor DLC stuff.
I've skinned deer in real life (do it almost every hunting season).
I really, really wish it was that easy to do for real.

Skinning animals like in real life would become annoying extremely fast. You need to find a middle ground (and make it less squickier by doing so)
