That was a good trailer, but I was hoping for a better idea of what Red Dead Redemption 2 would consist of (like GTA V did in its trailers with heists and multiple characters).

Rockstar announce gameplay trailers as "Gameplay Videos". Their "Official Trailers" are story trailers.

If not for the scars I would have thought it was a different character. But I guess it's hard to keep looks consistent where the fidelity of your characters now is based on looking like actual actors.

I think the graphics, especially faces and facial animations are super impressive for a huge open world game.

Graphics look like a western GTA V, particularly the characters, which isn't that great in 2018. I'm hoping that means there's a huge complex world to make up for it.
