I'd like to know.

GTX 760 performance at base console settings

Rx 580 performance at 4k 30

That way we will see how unoptimized this game is.

That feeling when you woke up early to get all of your pre-work rituals out of the way before 8 am, so that you'd have some time to try the game before work...

...only to have it take 30 minutes to decrypt and another 10 to finishing downloading the rest of the files, only to have the game crash at startup.

Any chance a 970 could run this at 30fps on decently high settings? I have 16gb ram and an i5 2500k (lol) OC'd to 4ghz which runs GTA V just fine at high settings.

Got it to work without HDR, put everything on high and textures on ultra and running the benchmark. Weirdly in the town it looks like all the textures are on low or missing, but the past parts of the benchmark looked fine. I dunno.

Smooth 60fps on a 9900k and gtx1080. However might be due to weird texture issue.

How do you turn off HDR?

So setting an internal resolution to 0.875. With most settings maxed except msaa and grass. On a 2080ti and 7700k on a 4knscreen gets me anavergar of 52 fps. Good enough with gsync. Can't rly see the resolution difference too much even sitting right infront of my screen

Anyone with a i5-6400 and a 1060 6GB can report performance on 1080p please?

Bleh, got up early for this, hoping there's a launcher patch while I'm at work, gonna try and take a quick nap and get back a few of those extra hours of sleep.

My benchmark results (1080p + max, save for 8x AF, no FXAA, no MSAA, and no reflection MSAA):

32GB DDR4-3200, i7 8700K @ 4.7GHz, RTX 2080 Ti, 441.12, Win10 x64.

I think the 17fps minimum was a bug. The game abruptly slowed to a crawl during the scene where Arthur robs a store and exits through the back door.

Vulkan yields 15% better performance but introduces pauses of about a second long when asset/texture streaming cant keep up. Game is heavily gpu dependant.

Stock 2080ti & 6700k @ 4.6GHz. 1440p Vulkan with TAA & sans MSAA Reflections with everything else cranked up to max for the hell of it. Benchmark ran real smooth outside of very brief loading drops.

Can you toggle off HDR in the game? I have my PC hooked up to my HDR TV and I do not want to run the game in HDR, personally don't like playing games with HDR on PC.

6700k, 1080ti, 3440x1440, I had to turn everything basically to medium just to stay above 60fps during the intro. And that's after the storm died down.

Yeah. I'm getting the same min FPS. I didn't have an overlay on but just eyeballing it, it looked smooth.

Vulkan

Everything at max settings
volumetric Raymarch off
Triple Buffer on (recommended with VSync?)
TAA high
FXAA off
MSAA off
Reflection MSAA x2

FPS min: 22
FPS max: 210
FPS avg: 77

no drops below 68 FPS during the actual benchmark test.
Runs really smooth and looks suprisingly crips on my 4K Samsung QLED at 1440p. TAA seems to be doing a good job here.
I might take it with these settings. Maybe do some sharpening or play a with the resolution slider.

Slider lowest - 95 average
Balanced middle - 66 average
Max - 50 average

Gtx 1080 dx12 1080p

So plenty of room to tweak just so many settings to try, wheres that nvidia guide when you need it.

Is Vulkan better than DX12? On my 2080ti and i5 [email protected] and 32 GB 3200RAM getting 45 to 55 fps maxed at 3440 x 1440. Set to High and MSAA@x2 it's 60 to 75 fps, sometimes higher. 4K@60fps only possible with medium/high settings.

"Crisp" Image? Really? TAA blurrs the game so much.
Comparison(fullscreen ist best to see the difference):

I can't get it to run well at higher resolutions. GPU utilization stays low and framerate won't average above 40ish regardless of what I do with the settings and resolution scale. I guess I'll just run it at 1080p max preset.

Also doesn't look too stunning but idk if it's graphical glitches or I was overhyped.

This game wreck my 2080Ti on ultra settings (2560x1080 so 1080p in ultrawide).
From benchmark on DX12:
Min: 31
Max: 152
Avg: 72

Blizzard scene is the worse.
It all GPU bound. My 9990K CPU was average on 30% used.

And new nvidia driver add few FPS.

Vulkan has been completely smooth for me. Gonna bench both Vulkan and DX12 and compare

Normally I get every problem under the sun with games, but it seems this time I got lucky.

9900k, 2080TI playing on a TV with HDR and 4k 60FPS.
I didn't alter any of the settings and its pretty much stable 60FPS, as far as I can tell. Had no problems so far.
