How does one compare filtering when the textures are already set to a much lower setting? You're not doing yourself any favor by continuing to put weight in poor, compressed Youtube shots.The 'egregious' comparison was made secondary in my post where I acknowledged medium textures in the first sentence. Other things like foliage, filtering etc are separate from base texture resolution however.
And as a gaming laptop owner, I would hope more developers are friendlier to them too.
Laptop performance is harder to judge because they do not perform 1:1 with desktop parts.
