I think I read something about Rey having a dual red lightsaber, so...

Honestly all these blockbusters have so much bullshit that I can't tell anymore. lol
I don't get the advantage of the two beams side by side, the Darth Maul-esque part of it I understand, that's a legit useful weapon, but the other way looks so fucking dumb.
It's basically the switch-blade that turns into a comb so that you know how bad-ass your greaser-bully character is.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person on here who likes RLM videos but likes Star Wars as well lol.
I liked a lot about The Force Awakens, but I deliberately withheld my judgement on it's larger story because I knew it was the first part of a trilogy, and I wanted to give it a chance.
On paper, Rogue One seemed like a movie I'd really enjoy, but it was just devoid of anything enjoyable for me. Not really bad, just aggressively mediocre.
The Last Jedi was an odd mix of good and terrible, and while I appreciate what it was trying to do, I can't understand how the bad parts got greenlit. And in hindsight it tipped my TFA judgement into the "bad" column, while looking forward it managed to kill off any excitement I had for more sequels. Then I saw that it had become the latest battleground in a culture war, and all the discussion around it became toxic (like, you can't even complain about the movie without people assuming that you're alt-right, which is an experience that makes the movie even worse, but I guess not so bad as people who like it having to deal with alt-right shitheads, so nobody wins).
I expected to hate Solo, but I watched it anyways (not in the theater), and it was exactly what I thought it would be.
I didn't expect to have any hype for Rise of Skywalker, but the trailers have been giving me a spark of hope. I don't want that spark of hope. I fully expect to be let down. But... I can't deny that RoS is giving me a feeling that feels a lot like the feeling that TFA gave me before it came out (but much smaller). It's probably JJ. The man knows how to build anticipation. But he doesn't apparently know how to land a satisfying ending. Or will he land the ending this time? Will JJ redeem TFA? Will he redeem TLJ? My brain says "No!", but I can't deny that my heart is trying to say "Yes!". I'll most likely watch it, but probably not in theater.
I've heard great things about the Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels cartoons, but I have yet to properly watch them. They're on my list.
You are my SW twin, my thoughts exactly. I actually think the majority of people feel this way but the noise surronding SW is so loud it turns into something else. The Solo ticket sales definately gave them a kick in the ass tho.
However RoS turns out I am interested in what they do next: there is a lot of room for improvement.
I've enjoyed all of the new Star Wars movies, even The Last Jedi.
I just hate all the hype and bullshit surrounding them. It's probably my disdain for all things Disney in general seeping into Star Wars, though. I wish they would just go away but it's just gonna keep getting worse. They are everywhere and everything and I hate it.

I really enjoyed The Force Awakens, especially after my second viewing. My first viewing left me kind of annoyed at how much it copied from A New Hope, but after watching it a second time, I just ignored that aspect and enjoyed it much more. Only complaints I would still have would be nitpicks, like Rey using force powers without any training.
The Last Jedi felt frustrating in the end, because what was good was really fucking good, but there were so many parts that felt pointless or badly done. I loved the relationship with Kylo Ren and Rey, right up until the end. I feel like it would've been amazing if they had told both the light side and the dark side to fuck off and just did their own thing, setting up something unique for the next film. Instead, we have Kylo Ren losing to Rey for a third time to...look forward to?
I know Luke was controversial, but I enjoyed everything with him. I thought his final moments were badass, if not strange.
But then there was shit like the casino stuff that felt both pointless and boring. The stuff with Poe and Diane felt forced. Snoke was a fucking terrible villian.
So yeah, could've been something great, but instead it was just a mixed bag that killed any hype I might've had for episode nine.
Rogue One was incredibly mediocre. They somehow managed to fill that movie up with a band of characters that all have zero personality. The ending with Vader may have been silly pandering, but I don't care, that's the one scene I loved in the film.
Have zero interest in Solo, and I doubt I will ever watch it.

Plus I am an EU nerd too... Which makes it rather fun. (A couple YouTubers I follow are actually the same. Though I think Eckhartsladder was "annoyed" by RLM for certain things)

I put TFA, RO and Solo on par with the prequels. TLJ is just terrible and the worst of them all.
The prequels do a lot wrong and a lot badly, but they are enjoyable even if for the wrong reasons. TLJ wasn't even that.

I genuinely enjoyed TFA even though it had some world-building issues. TLJ could have fixed those issues but instead doubled down on everything that didn't work in TFA. Plot- and structure-wise TLJ is a mess of a movie that also manages to undermine the original trilogy. Rogue One was OK and I haven't seen Solo.

I'm mostly in agreement with Rich that the characters of the new trilogy were squandered, especially the villains. Kylo Ren is more or less the best thing about these movies until he becomes the de facto Big Bad, which is a role that he's not at all suited for.
Same. The more i think about it the more i think that TLJ is the worst SW movie ever.
I like what happens in TLJ for the most part, I just think it's all put together and framed really strangely. Mostly everything revolving around the slow chase of the cruiser and how everything has to fit around that.
I just... Why does it look as if she's been CG'd into the cape in both shots. There's something so off about the way she looks.

They both really good. And in the case of Clone Wars, proves that when GL has people around him that act as a lens for his ideas, he's still good.
Though in the case of Clone Wars. I would strongly recommend watching it in Chronological order, because the first three season not aired in ordered, which is a problem as Clone Wars (with the exception of a stand alone episodes here and there) are in four episode arcs (they're essentially mini movies)

I can't quite explain why, but the quick left-to-right pan on the close-up makes me feel like it's done for comedy.
I honestly assumed that this scene was a fake/parody when I first saw the GIF without context.
The problem for me with TLJ was in its placement. A Star Wars movie that's a repudiation of prophecy and familial legacy and JJ's mystery box crap is great...but why is it the middle movie in a trilogy that also has all those things? And then why bring the first guy back again to close it out after the second movie "actually, nope"d what he set up?

Presumably for folding up and portability? Seems like she did some modding so that the safety was deactivated and she could have the blades on in the closed position. Which is all to say it looks like a knockoff toy.
I wasn't even sure if it was Daisy Ridley when I first saw it. I was like "is Rey's mom secretly a sith working for palpatine?"
