Both movies are amazing. but Gremlins 2 especially remains amazingly meta a true live-action cartoon. And still is and was sold as a children's movie.
Shit is straight bonkers to watch.

When they said this video was coming, they said it would be slightly redundant, because their Gremlins 1 commentary track already told people what they think of Gremlins 2, but Gremlins 2 is worth it, so it's getting it's own Re:View.
That's probably what mixed you up.
They say in the RE:view is was gonna be commentary but they'd just be repeating the official commentary track, so REview instead.
Loved Gremlins 2 since my childhood. I remember buying the novelization and reading it before seeing the movie. one of the first movies where i did that. It really warms my heart to see how well it has aged.

is it? i thought that usually footage gets claimed during the upload process. seems weird that it would be up for hours if it was automated but i don't know shit about the details of how the process works

Bots typically strike immediately, sometimes before uploads are fully processed.
Its the youtube algorithm that takes it down, not an actual person. They just look at appeals.
When Jim Sterling was intentionally getting his videos claimed he was using just one or two seconds of audio to accomplish that, so nope.
