Seems fine. Like anything, you just don't use it with people until you know them well enough to know if they'll mind or not.

I've never gotten pushback from using "ladies"

I've heard women say "act like a lady" or "I'm a lady, not a hussie" so I think it's acceptable.

Ladies, correct me if I'm wrong.

Eh, I don't think most women like being called lady. And like saying ladies in a work email imo would be a definite no. Even if you went up to a group of women at a bar and said "hey ladies" it would go better saying something else.
