I always thought the original designs were pretty good and with a different artstyle you could get something amazing now, so I got a lot of references some months ago to make some modern zbrush models of them.
The live action characters here look great.
Seems to be the same people who make the awesome Wacky Races commercial for Peugot that was recorded in Spain, in a small town near Valencia (Cullera).
Dungeons and Dragons had an amazing nostalgia 80's synth sounding song in Spain (much better than the non descript american opening), so i hope they use and intrumental version of that in the ad here.

as a little kid I remember thinking that ranger's bow where the string/arrow just appears when you go to shoot it was the coolest thing ever
