When the Mini-Direct is officially announced can someone please create a "Expectations will be shattered in....." countdown?

But if their big surprise is just the Dark Souls Remaster then that's pretty lame. 650 pages of craziness over that?

It's been rumored a lot. It seems like a no brainer anyway, why wouldn't they bring it over eventually?
Definitely. Never had to chance to play it on WII U but I would definitely get it on Switch.
She said that in response to me. She did later clarify that there is some first-party stuff coming to Switch this year tho, just that Nintendo will be leaning more on third-party stuff and ports this year.

Most of the thread was honestly just barely related to the actual Direct. The hourly hype cycle became its own game people had fun to play.
It's not so much the time. It's more the fact they call it a mini direct. Almost if they are playing it down themselves.
The whole fire/flame imagery makes complete sense if it's Dark Souls. Not to mention the Direct being a Mini is also highly likely due to the hints by Nintendo. I'm a firm believer now

She added some more to that statement in the legendary thread a bit later. There should also be enough 1st party stuff this year.
But let's be honest to ourselves. 2017 had Mario Odyssey, BotW, Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade ... there's zero chance that 2018 could have heavy hitters on the same scale as those games. At least, Fire Emblem was announced for this year, so that's one game at least. ^^
The PS4/XB1 ports continue to be a steady stream of revenue for them. Switch port is definitely a no brainer - gotta milk that game.

Personally yeah I'm with you on not being hyped on Dark souls. But i cannot deny that it's a good move for nintendo to get these titles on their platform. It reminds me of Gamecube with RE4 and other games.
Im sure when the dust settles we'll get a POV on this, but I dont know how much it was them feeding the hype, and how much seeing things that weren't really there
