Polls suggest otherwise. Just saying.

He always lead "Would beat Trump" polls among Democrats.

Like I know it hurts to admit, but America is still a very conservative country.

yeah...that might go the way of hillary's campaign but i do know that the us are a very conservative country in some ways..which is a bit strange cause you guys pretty much lead in social progress overall.

From the outside it indeed looks like a divided country, very strong minority groups (compared to most other countries, if not all) but very handicapped by the non coastal areas that play heavy into the electoral college stupid rules

This thing is killing me. Of all the shit going on, the media's refusal to call shit out is disgraceful.

TRUMP ORDERS SAMPLER OF RACIALLY SMOKED BARBECUE

TRUMP SKIPS ROCK ACROSS POND OF RACE-ADJACENT OOPSIE-DAISY

Also, why is it not news 24/7 that Trump has been accused of RAPING A CHILD (in addition to the other rape allegations)?

Sorry you were assaulted, that's awful.

I was just making fun of them since it's just a weird right wing trope they used to go on and on about during the Obama years which they completely blew out of proportion as a national epidemic.

Well it certainly isn't something one should worry about when compared with something like white supremacists.

This is the single most important interview of the past three years. It succinctly describes the very real problem we face. People don't care about facts. Which is a scary realization.
Also a good example why Newt Gingrich is one of the most influential people in politics in the modern era. So much of why the Republican party is where they are now can be sourced to his speakership 25 years ago. Sure, brazen cynical tactics always existed, and he added nothing to to Republican ideological thinking, but he turned up the heat by making nothing off limits, and was largely seen as successful in doing so.

I know. Pelosi is killing me here. If Trump isn't worth impeaching then who the fuck is?

Anyone worse than trump would probably take nothing less than a forced eviction from the White House; I think Trump is the worst non-dictator president we could possibly have in his disregard of the office and its protocols/ethics. You really can't get much worse without committing blatant widespread human rights violations on minorities AND white Americans.

Pelosi is a coward and I really get frustrated by the liberals that are such a huge fan of her.

Why do you all attack Pelosi when there is no democratic majority pro impeachment? (probably not even a public majority when you look how the impeachment day turnout was).

The question for many is not if Trump is worth impeachment (SURE!), but if a failed (and it will) impeachment attempt would hurt more than it helps.

The argument for impeachment seems to be that it would bring up more dirt about Trump, but really, what difference would more dirt make?

Hurt what exactly? Because right now.. the GOP is working to dismantle the USA and the democrats are powerless to do anything about it. They're stealing elections, and working openly with russia.

So you're going to have to define hurt, as it stands, dead kids are already dead at the border and trump is rounding up families, and its not going to stop with the mexicans. There is nothing to lose with a failed impeachment. There is nothing to gain by not impeaching as well. Dems aren't in a position to do anything right now besides get the public to the voting booths to smother out meddling from GOP/Russia. This is the last chapter of american democracy, and people want to sit on their hands and wait for....reasons.

If America can't do anything about a open white supremacist president, its time for a new america. Democrats are all playing it safe hoping they'll get some scraps from republicans. Republicans shit inside of their entire mouth every opportunity. People are getting sick of this, and its likely going to turn ugly with open bigotry colliding with civil rights. Again.

His corruption will be brought into a public forum and aired on television. There are plenty of people who still have no clue of all the impeachable things this guy has been doing, this is the way to get that info out. That's really the main reason to impeach this fuck.

Look up the support for impeaching Nixon before impeachment proceedings against him began and get back to us.

Because a huge percentage of that democratic majority takes its queues from party leadership, and so changing their minds means convincing them that Pelosi is wrong.

People should pay close attention to how Dems respond/refer to both the response from Omar, Pressley, Ocasio-Cortez and Tlaib as well as Trump's targeting of them. Centrist tweets/Malinowski's resolution condemning general xenophobia and removing the "go back home" from the very particular context of targeting women of color who call for systemic change through politics is not supporting, but enabling. Not naming them is a way of condemning the sentiment without giving proper support, instead offering a weak arms-length support while keeping the possibility open to deny them as allies later down the road. The reason they are targeted is that they as women of color unapologetically demand that a system building on racialized oppression is dismantled and that they refuse to stand down when they are punched. That is the context. These are the kind of people that are dangerous to society and thus need to be erased / sent "home". And these are the people who need to be supported unequivocally and with strength. Cohen's resolution names them and puts rebuke in the context it deserves - and not a single self-proclaimed democrat should vote against it.
