Last year we had a trumper send out bombs to dems in the mail. That line has already been crossed.
I like Pelosi, but she needs to come out and be more affirmative in support of some of her more vulnerable colleagues. If she's truly as shrewd a politician as I think she is, she should recognize how Trump has effectively alleviated the burden of the Socialist narrative. Now it's about racism and decency. I mean, it always was, but Trump really really gave a gift. Him melting down is hilarious. At the very least, from a personal standpoint, it seems perfectly sane to me that when you're publicly bullied, you take a massive public stand to tell your bully that they can fuck off.
Never mind the signal effect: if that piece of shit can show the nation it's okay to make racist attacks, the least they can do is signal that it's okay if you're a minority to fight back, because it's not like you can count on tepid white "allies" who allowed this to happen in the first place.

I've admired her leadership, intelligence, and decency for as many years as I've been voting (16). I like AOC, too. I like Beto, Warren, Harris, Biden... not everything has to be a line in a sand with me. Although, that's not to say that a few politicians have me polarized, too.

This is my fear. Obviously, if they come to harm, it won't be an orchestrated conspiracy, with under-the-table deals for assassins to take them out. It's just going to be Fox, or Info-Wars, or One American News enraging some white guy to feel his way of life is under the threat, and the usual American problem solving of "All it takes is one hero, with a gun," to do the rest.
No one needs to actually conspire to hurt these women, they just need to make one of the millions of conservative white American males angry enough that one of them takes matters into his own hands, and then afterward, just blame the Evil Mainstream Media for it afterward.
She did rally Dems to prevent his stupid border wall from happening and fought back against his government shutdown idiocy.
