A 2014 racing game beat all of 2017's racing games in the votes. Testament to how strong Mario Kart 8 was!
Era loooves its Xenoblade 2. My second favorite game of the year.
It's those features of a trash port that made it the best PC game. Lmao.
Just don't play as an undead your first time through without grabbing a head covering in the starting area. Unless you hate yourself that is.
Looking over this list just makes me realize what a great year 2017 was for games and also how long my backlog is.
Splatoon 2 beat PUBG.
ARMS beat Injustice 2.
Nier won best PC Game.
I mean I knew Era schewed hard towards a certain segment but my god...
you act surprised, ERA, just like GAF, play console games more than PC games, just see where Divinity is, when any PC centric site would have it at #1.
Anyways, I like the list.
I was just so disappointed with Uncharted 4 I didn't even pick it up.
I played it! Got one point from me, which is pretty good since twin-stick shooters aren't my genre at all. But Nex Machina alone almost made me a fan.Sometimes I feel like Im the only one on the planet who played this amazingly fun game called Nex Machina...
Great to see Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in the top 10! I am closing in on the end and I was regretting that I didn't place it so very happy that a December game still got strong recognition.

Same. And after you beat the main story of 2 I don't think you couldn't like it more than 1. Anyway, idk what the purpose of that gif was. To show that Xeno1 is "cooler"?
It's also a really good game. I don't think it's all that shocking. One of the best racing games ever surely.

It's interesting to see what made it. I was surprised by Xenoblade 2 as well even though I think it's one of the best JRPGs in a long time, I didn't know the people here thought so as well lol. I was under the impression that Zelda or some other things would be lower, but it turns out that people actually just like the games. I've read a lot that some of these games don't deserve what they got or reviewers were biased, but to see the site itself pick these things just should let a lot of others know that good games are just good games. I own all the consoles and a high end PC and I actually played most of these games and it's just been overwhelming to play so many quality games in 2017. Top 3 are coincidentally my favorite games of this year (with Xenoblade probably being 4 for me) Here's hoping 2018 can be even half as good.

I plat it not too long ago and it was a great experience.
Great year but Divinity definately got robbed when it came to overall rankings. Only thing really going against it is that not enough people played it.
Good list except for Nier beating out Horizon in two lists. Like...what? So weird and out of left field.
A bit Nintendo Switch heavy, but it was a great year for Nintendo gamers. Wish Hellblade had more recognition.
That's a very strong top 10. Surprised to see Xenoblade 2 up there (I didn't play it so I can't say if it's deserved or not, but I didn't notice a ton of buzz around it). Good job ERA on getting #1 correct, yet again.
Can't complain about the list. 6 of my personal Top 10 are in the forum top 10, and 12 of my top 15 are in the top 18 here. Clearly, I have excellent taste. ;-)

EDIT: Nioh is really good from what I've played so far (just started it yesterday). Wish I'd been able to start it sooner so I'd at least have given it an honorable mention, it seems like it's deserving of its placement on the list.

Oh i know, but i didnt want to be the one to say "most people that absolutely hate it and are the loudest havent play the game"
I know there people that have played and dont like it, and thats a respectable opinion, but ive never seen as much hatred for an anime rpg ever than with this one on the internets, and we know a lot of this people havent even touch it (becuase a lot of them dont even try to hide they havent play it)
