I asked them multiple times what happened to XIV votes but didn't get a reply, there is something wrong with the system when a game in the top 10 for most first picks can't crack top 20 overall, be it how the points are distributed or counting.
My dude, you really need to give it a rest and move on. In fact, why don't I help you with that: I went through the voting thread and, counting the votes manually, I got 227 points for FFXIV. Only two votes weren't counted in the final score - one was "FF XIV Shadowbringers" and the other was, kind of confusingly, "Final Fantasy Shadowbringers" (I guess they couldn't decide between 14 and XIV). Every single "Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers" and "Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers" vote was counted.
Additionally, the game appeared in 71 top 10s. I'm not going to count every single list in the thread, but seeing as there are over 1400 posts, we can probably pretty safely say there were well over a thousand top 10s posted too. Is it really so weird that it wouldn't break top 20 when less than a tenth of voters gave it any points?
If you want to play around with different point distributions, the raw data was posted on the first page. If you were to weight first spots even more heavily, it would definitely break the top 20 since half of FF XIVs votes were first spots, but I personally think the current point distribution is good. Things would start getting too bloated if the top 3, for example, got radically more points than the rest of your top 10.
