Resident Evil 2: €43,29 for Xbox, €34,19 for PC at CDkeys

For some reason they don't have it for PS4. Xbox One version of Resident Evil 2 is a steal at that price, and digitally too. Which is a plus (for me) over a hard copy, it's all digital for me nowadays.

Im surprised no one has mentioned the next 2 big Capcom games are £44.99 digitally.

Are they bucking the trend?

£44.99 is much more reasonable for a digital game. Fuck paying £59.99.

The game was 40€ on PC pre-order I think. Which further begs the question why anyone would want to pre-order digital games.

Also, cdkeys rules :)

You can use Green Man Gaming to save about $5 on the PS4 version. Actually it may be a little more saved when you factor in that Sony collects tax if you buy from the Playstation store directly.

I don't have a problem with CDKeys in of itself but if I want to support the devs, would it be more beneficial just to pay the Steam version instead? I don't mind paying a bit more if it helps out the devs and signals to publishers that I want similar games in the future.

From my understanding cd-keys is not like fanatical.
Fanatical buys their keys straight from the developer/publishers while cd-keys buys from several retail sources (so not directly from publishers/developers).

In theory if there is any problem with a key with fanatical (or any other oficial store) they can just request a new key or to reinstate your key. While cd-keys would have a much harder task to be able to correct the issue due to not having a "direct" line with the publisher/developer.


These 2 stores are different from sites like kinguin (grey market sellers) which don't buy keys directly from "oficial sources" instead they act like a marketplace where almost everybody can sell their keys with very few control on where those keys where "bought".

Sorry I didn't mean they were similar, just that I've used them both as cheap sources for steam-redeemable games. But that's good to know in terms of the differences....

If anyone was on the fence about getting this because of region shenanigans, I'm in US and it just activated on my steam account with no problems. Preloading as well.

Ty. I went with DX11 for demo and...i think everything maxed and didn't notice any drops. I'm not always the most perceptible though, but I saw you and some other people talk about using ReShade so I will use that I think. I usually hate the Sharpening you get from a lot of ReShade profiles (like in a DS3 profile i used that looked blehbleh) so I'll tweak it myself unless there are essentials I should have ticked etc.

Apparently CDkeys have over sold their supply of Xbox codes, I just got a response asking if I want a refund or wait for stock.

It's awful because they are still selling the codes atm promising for tomorrow.
