This is my hope as well. As a bonus mode Fourth Survivor in RE2 was alright. As something canon, it leaves a lot to be desired. I'm hoping 4th Survivor this time is more akin to Not A Hero. Where it's still him getting out, but there's a bit more story to it.

I really hope there is a unknown extra mode that lets you play as all characters. A mode with no story that makes use of the whole game world with replay value

I got the Plat in RE7 with minimal difficulty - this looks harder but I'm gonna try to do it as well.
