Well, I was expecting RE2 level greatness, so maybe my personal expectations were too high. I agree, 80+ is a great score.

It may well be as good as RE2. The only negativity I've been hearing is from people complaining about what's been cut, with no apparent interest in what's been added.
A lower average score doesn't necessarily mean a worse game, it could just be that people already played RE2 last year and RE3 came out too soon and isn't unique enough.
I've got a preorder from Best Buy but I have no idea if it'll actually ship in time for this weekend. I'm slightly disappointed by the sound of the reviews but this should still be fun to run through.
Pre-loaded onto my PS4 this morning, and taken my first PTO day of the year on Friday to do nothing but play this game. Can't wait
I'm going to go into this with an open mind. Despite all the cuts from the original, I'm interested to see what's been added and remixed and I'm excited for a more arcadey action game. I fully intend to do several playthroughs with different conditions the same way I played RE2 over and over last year for an S rank.
Hopefully after the dust settles we can debate the merits and downsides of RE3make for what it is and not what we wanted it to be.

Just a heads up, the recent patch changed the lock code for the safe, so it's different to what it was in the demo and full game before the patch.
Cannot wait. This is absolutely the type of distraction I need right now. Been on media blackout and going in as blind as it's possible to in 2020.
I think this will almost certainly be the case. I had modest expectations for RE3 anyway and some of the reviews mention things that have me guarded, but when all is said and done I expect this to be a good, extremely solid way to close out the remake trilogy. As an OG fan of this series since day 1, and of the 3 PS1 games specifically, I would have been delighted to be told we'd get a port of REmake followed by these RE2 & RE3 remakes.
