At that point there will be no reason to release physical at all, except for limited run collectors editions.
So far yes. You buy it from the merchant using the currency you get from side quests and it specifically says it only works on handguns. Might be additional sights for other guns but I havent seen any yet.
Buy physical and play unpatched! I think in the video that is not the full-on rain storm yet that was shown earlier.
The rain looks so much better now, it's not even funny. Still not perfect but this is more than acceptable.

Agreed! The old look felt like a filter over the screen. No depth.
It had some artistic flair to it. I also liked it, it looked especially cool when Leon does a knife kill and lighting flashes behind him, with the depth of field effect activated.
You can barely see the current rain. I hate this apparent trend of gamers complaining about the most banal shit and developers giving in.
Still in chapter 4 right now. I'll try to clip it and upload to Onedrive so you guys can compare when I get there.
It's the compression from the video. It's very visible in game but not distracting.

I hate to say it, but I don't think Capcom did great with the rain fix. It just looks like a light drizzle now which is disconnected from the sound of a downpour in the first clip and the rain pelting off Leon effect in the second clip. It's of course 'better' in the sense it doesn't look awful, but I almost wish they kept the original rain but just lowered the opacity on it.
