it runs uncapped so it will hover at 60fps and drop to low 50's in hectic fights
They can add Gyro control to a port of an old game but they can't add Subtitles for Deaf/Hard of Hearing for Resident Evil 4?

Problem is that game logic is tied to fps so the game runs in slow motion when it does this.
No, Dragon's Dogma didn't have gyro support sadly. Weirdly it did have touchscreen map support though, which was neat but MUCH less useful than gyro archery would've been.
Any reasoning why to add it for 5/6?

As if i should be surprised now smh. Hope that's in the works. One of the most revered Resident Evils out of that collection and is the only one that isn't getting the support. Shame capcom...shame....
It's somewhat inconsistent in docked mode, but much more stable in portable mode.
Great news! Now add the Wii controls back into RE4 on Switch with the gyro and I will buy it at a high price.
I was chatting this guy up on Twitter, says that early on the only time he sees it go under 30fps is when it's loading a zone, that even a grade in a group of enemies it stays above 30fps.
Hopefully it stays above 30 for all real gameplay.
He also says the gyro is closer to Splatoon and is really good.
This might be the difference of me buying or not. Gyroscope is a big deal to me and really increases my enjoyment. Please update RE4 with motion controls too.
I wonder they even bothered to release the demos in that state if they had a greatly improved day one patch coming. Not exactly the best first impression.
Fired up the full version -- Mercenaries is fully unlocked right out of the gate, so I went with Village as BSAA Jill. Framerates held up the entirety of my super not practiced not serious run, but what impressed me was the gyro works *really well*. Her pistol is an absolute murder machine with it.

You know that technique where you hold the right stick to the left or right, then press R to quick turn?
Imagine that's the *slow* option now. Just R, and turn with gyro. No claw needed.

I'm waiting to hear on that as well before buying 6. Performance was shit on that demo vs "just kinda bad".
Even then it performed a bit better than the PS3 version when comparing the demo to the full release
