The only way I can see this project end up being of interest to me it's if they reveal the game as a Mercenaries title.
This. 4vs1 is a deal breaker for me. I'm fine with a sigle player campaign and a co-op option.
They should do it like L4D where PvE and PvP are both modes so everybody is happy.
Not hyped at all by the news but it could be a good game though. I'll wait for the announcement.

Lots of people want l4d sytle games. World War z sold like 2 million units.
Jaw said that he heard that the game could be a 4v1 MP title. We'll have to wait and see...

Has anyone commented on RE3 being pushed over to next gen, too?
I mean, it's highly unlikely it's coming in 2020, so I would bet hard on next gen.

It was supposed to be revealed at E3 and then released by 2020's first quarter but ot seems that something must have happened. Maybe related to it being outsourced?
A 4v1 RE game could be very cool. One player controls a Nemesis/Ustanak-type creature, trying to hunt down the four survivors as they explore an area, try to solve puzzles in classic RE fashion to progress (of course, with limited ammo, and with other enemies roaming around), and hopefully escape. In my head at least, it sounds really cool-- hopefully that translates well into reality.

I would be extremely surprised that, given next gen is coming next year, they have the time to announce it and release it before fall 2020. Anything else it's a lock for next gen (cross gen if you want).
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the positive reception to Mr X in RE2 remake is why we're getting this. It basically sounds like it's going to be four people against one BOW.

DBD clone but with BOW's instead of killers. Birkin, Tyrant, Mr X, Nemesis, Nosferatu. You could do some cool things.
Oh shit he is. I love Raccoon City but I hope Capcom don't over do it with this, RE2 and RE3 remakes.
4 vs 1 RE multiplayer game? Idk, their previous efforts on multiplayer RE stuff have been bad. A little premature to be disappointed since they haven't shown anything, but I would much rather take a new single player RE. I know people want a remake of 3 but getting a sequel to RE7 is more enticing to me.
That's of course happening but not anytime soon. I expect this to come out next year to give those games time to come out early 2021
