Simply because the guy is the guy is a good friend, pretty sociable in the industry, and he never really 'leaks' anything to me, we're just both big MGS fans so this was an exception. He mentioned it to me just days before the PS5 announcement where it said bluepoint were working on a remake.

As a massive MGS fan... I agree. I got a taste for it in MGS 4.. dont want them working on this.
Decima MGS with Kojima is the only way I'd consider giving it a go.

The OP literally created a thread out of pure speculation from a article that is reporting on what looks like a typo.

I get they say it's a re-imagination and all.. but they can't do anything with a MGS remake apart from graphical upgrades.., and I don't want them to mess around with the lore anyway. So... after hearing them say it's a bigger leap from what they did on SoTC, I'm disappointed. I thought it would be a reboot of a franchise, a re-imagination of an old ip that Sony's neglected. But MGS... it's a hard sell if true.
Unless it's a reboot of the MGS franchise, which I hardly think would ever happen, nor would Konami mess with the series prestige.
