When you bring up 8chan as part of your defense... The place that helped radicalize the NZ shooter. Maybe you should really take a hard look at where your getting your ideas from.
Capcom US and Japan have history with him more than 10 years.
Yeah, which is stupid, but they're not comments Capcom is gonna sack a veteran mocap actor and iconic voice actor for.https://www.newsweek.com/dmc-5-devil-cry-voice-actor-dante-morrisonreuben-langdon-joey-camen-blackface-1366791?fbclid=IwAR212_CsNTS7EyQVk5GlgJv_GTkVbbnSHJB3VyuuaACfDIXe6_bsslLTtQk
He was even complaining about Newsweek and calling them biased against Qanon.
But Reddit said we’re masterminds!
They changed the vocalist for Subhuman, and Reuben supporting 8chan out of nowhere isn't too far off from what the old vocalist did.
This is such a sad response, and it checks all of the worst boxes:
Straight out the trump-republican handbook of being a piece of shit.
I suppose it's a framing thing. Qanon has inspired shootings, 8chan has encouraged shooters and served as a gathering point for multiple pedophiles to share child porn. Do you feel better about the guy who does the crime directly, or the guy who defends the people who encourage even more crimes and on a far larger scale?
The original framing is that Capcom wouldn't care about this because it isn't a big enough offense. "Well, he just defended pedos/white supremacists" isn't really a good PR statement
You're comparing turds. One might be smaller, bit less messy, but at the end of the day both are still pieces of shit and both still stink, no matter how you try to dress it up. I think we should be looking for a bit of a higher bar than "Well...at least they didn't actually rape kids". That's pretty damn low on my expectations for people, you know? It should really be a gimme, the default. I also don't need people to be saints either...just a hell of a lot better than actively going to bat for a shithole of scumbags like 8chan.
While I agree with that sentiment, this guy has a platform where he can indoctrinate people to be more acceptive of pedophilia, and all his conspiracy bullshit.
its a line that is tied intrinsically into the first season of True Detective, where it became popular again. there, a serial killer uses it and the idea is kinda adopted by one of the twin detectives. on the surface it means basically that "history repeats" but if looked into it deeper its actually tied into the idea of eternal recurrence, which is fundamental for understanding some of Nietzsche's works. (I actually think the line originated from Thus Spoke Zarathustra originally, but I'm not too sure.)
