We have a name for Craig's character too:

Judging by the characters name and the quote (the "little grey cells") Rian uses on Twitter, we can expect some heavy nods to Hercule Poirot. Also, looking at the header images Rian uses on Twitter...

... the film might be taking some inspiration from the wonderfully fun Poirot films from the late 70s, starring Peter Ustinov (I really recommend his version of Death on the Nile and Evil Under the Sun to anyone who hasn't seen them).

This cast is fucking insane, man. He needs to bring some of these people into his Star Wars trilogy now that he knows them.

First trailer for Knives Out debuted at CinemaCon
Plot:
In the Media Rights Capital ensemble production, Craig plays a detective (with a southern accent) who is investigating the death of a family patriarch (Christopher Plummer). Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon and Toni Collette also star.

Curtis' character is married to Johnson's and Evans is their son (who in the footage spends a fair bit of time telling his other family members to "eat sh*t"). The trailer played to Paul McCartney and Wings' "Live And Let Die."
