Sounding like a broken record but I'm loving this gargoyle king nonsense.

People getting sacrificed, the girl potentially causing seizures, her cult leader dad.

You got the gargoyle king moving around like organization XIII.

After season 2 I wasn't expecting much from this season but it's my favorite so far.

Just caught up. How about that insane Scream reference nonsense? lol

Jughead is hard to watch. He's like... so bad.

I'm getting really sick of Hiram's obsession wit Archie. I can't even blame the kid for being a dumbass yet again, I'd start acting irrationally too if a grown man was that pressed w/ me

And poor Betty, that was actually pretty dark.

Lol Ethel's a great villain.

I fucking hate her, so she's doing something right

Hiram's schtick in the comics is him being routinely frustrated with Archie's antics so it makes some sense that a lot of his character would be tied in a sort of obsession with him.

I do find it funny how powerful he's gotten though. Dude went from just getting out of prison last season to being able to execute a sheriff and still walk around like nothing.

That Betty part made me angry, I hope someone "fixes" her and get all those siaters behind bars or something.
Also, how stupid can Archie be.

Okay I'm not looking at any other posts aside from responses to this one because I don't want spoilers. I was just wondering if someone would recommend this show to someone like me who thoroughly enjoyed the new Sabrina series. I heard this show mentioned alot by people when they talked about Sabrina so I was wondering if it was worth taking a shot at.

I think if you liked Sabrina then you'll like this.

Season 1 is a little bit more simple, small town, Dawson's Creek, murder mystery noirish type thing.

Season 2 goes a bit crazy, goes full dark, gets a bit too wild and the writing gets sloppy. It has some highs but some ehhhh moments.

Season 3 so far seems to keep the vibe of Season 2 but is more fun overall.

Okay. So I will add this to the list then. Thank you! Sorry for the random post.

if Jughead is on the screen i skip everything involving him. Then i skipped everything involving the sister's this episode

Honestly, Betty's part of the episode was the only part that wasn't completely awful. Veronica's Casino For Kids arc is so stupid it hurts, and Archie's become so dumb that the show is actually calling him out for it in universe.

Oh yeah Veronica's part is clearly we don't have anything for her and we backed ourselves into a hole where she can't go broke or be too successful.
But the nunnery stuff was eh I was not paying attention when it was going except the first and last minute of her storyline

Honestly, I think the best thing they can do with Veronica moving forward is have her kind of snap and go villain mode for a season. She's really just spinning her wheels at this point.

But now that Betty's basically been drugged into a zombie, I guess we know Veronica and Cheryl are gonna have to find out and go rescue her.

I don't know why, but I find Archie's story line and his complete stupidity hilarious and kind of fun, but Veronica's story line and complete stupidity makes me feel bad for Veronica. For whatever reason I feel like Archie is getting treated properly and Veronica isn't--I guess maybe because Veronica has shown she can be smart and savvy but continues to re-trust her dad even though she knows he's like the most evil person ever.

I almost screamed when she was like "MAYBE DEEP DOWN MY DAD ISN'T SO BAD AFTER ALL".

You moved out of your own house and started living in the basement of a diner EARLIER THIS EPISODE because your dad very clearly murdered his corrupt sheriff pawn and has on repeated attempts tried to have your boyfriend murdered, thrown in prison, and murdered again.

What the actual fuck, Veronica. Camila Mendes deserves better than this shit.

Ok episode. Archie still wack but I can't blame him for wanting to clap Hiram.

I didn't mind Betty's story but Ethel is too annoying but I guess that's the point.

Veronica was easily the weak link.

I get that they're the main 4 but it would be nice to expand on the other characters some more.

Did they give any indication how far from Riverdale the town Juggie and Archie ended up in was? It had to just be a few days walk, right? I find it ludicrous that Hiram took over somewhere that's like two towns over and turned it into some indentured servitude hell, including a prison, and nobody in Riverdale knew about this. He tried getting into politics! Surely this would have come up in even the most superficial of investigations into his or his wife's past!

I think the prison she mentioned is the same prison he was building on the South Side.

Hopefully it's Greenvale.

Way more interesting, too.

The big issue is just that if Archie's trying to run from Hiram, going literally three miles away is pretty much the stupidest move he could possibly make. Hiram has hands in Shadow Lake and that's way further away than Greendale is. Why would he stop there? Even if Archie was dumb enough to attempt it, there's no way Jughead would've let him.

Well I know I'd want the help of a bloodthirsty cannibalistic coven of witches in that situation, but that's just me.

So yeah, episode was a mess, as usual, but some of that Betty stuff was legitimately great, especially the ending. I was on the edge of the seat wondering if they'd reveal the Gargoyle King.

Really, they should kill off Sabrina's Shitty Human Friends and just give her Betty as a human sidekick. She does the horror stuff really well. Even her VO work was great.

So apparently it was announced (somewhere?) that a character is dying next week. It's obviously not going to be one of the main four, it also won't be Cheryl (considering she's had almost no arc this season) and I don't think it'll be Kevin or Josie either.

Maybe they'll kill off Hiram and blow up everyone's theories about what's really going on?
