Hey folks, so as some of you may or may not know, I'm a huge western fan, to include movies and games. Since the delayed release date of Red Dead Redemption 2 to Oct 26, 2018 (the same date as the shootout at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona October 26, 1881 and Undead Nightmare, coincidence? I think not) I decided to start a series about the franchise history called Road to Redemption, building my way up to the release of RDR 2. The first video was the introduction I did on the drama of the game being in Capcoms hand, cancelled and sold to Rockstar and how the franchise was ill birthed.
I've just released my coverage on Red Dead Revolver today. I feel that most people either overlook this title or don't even realize it's part of the series and that's a shame as it's still a super quality western game if you ask me.
What do you all think about Revolver? I feel it was a great first step especially as it was practically a projected saved and altered from being canceled. There are some extremely bad elements when the game tries to move away from the shooting, like the bar brawl stage, but overall aesthetics wise, soundtrack, and the style still ring true in amazement today as far as I'm concerned. Below are both videos in the video series so far for those interested in watching. I really can't wait for the release of RDR 2 and it's been great going back to play these games once more.
