I wonder if they're not interested on metal gear 4 or if the game it's really a mess and use a lot of non standard (or most common) OS API, is one of the only exclusives that it doesn't even load =(.

Yep, smart move, why would you have an unused module on your system if it's not going to progress?
Read the blogs - it's super interesting how they have progressed, what technologies they utilize, and that they are actually using a lot of methods similar to how xbox360 emulation works.
I like that it has keyboard prompts.
The fan-made Downpour in UE4 looks better so far though.
So if I'm buying this Ryzen pc https://www.resetera.com/threads/ps...or-less-than-340-£320-the-magic-number.25680/ I can supposedly play gems like Demons Souls and Virtua Tennis 4, but how do I get them onto my PC's harddrive without blu ray player? I do have Demons Souls digitally and also the Virtua Tennis 4 demo (trust me you don't need the full game to enjoy this) can I just copy them over somehow? Probably need a cfw PS3 - which isn't a big problem as I incidentally have a spare, eligible PS3 Slim model?

Prepare your game ID, e.g. BLUS30145. This should be visible in RPCS3.
Copy the following URL, and replace both instances of the prepared game ID with your own:
https://a0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/tpl/np/BLUS30145/BLUS30145-ver.xml (= Prototype US)
Load this URL into your browser, ignoring any *browser-specific* errors about SSL certificates. It's safe.
There are three possible results from loading this .xml file in your browser:
1. XML error (e.g. "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." in Google Chrome). This means the game has no updates.
2. Entire XML file not found (404). This means your game ID is incorrect or unrecognized.
3. XML shows up, like in the example URL above.
From 3, copy the .pkg file URL, e.g:
http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/...S30145_00-PROTOPATCH000001-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg
Install it.
CFW is the easiest way to rip PS3 games, yeah. From there you can copy the files onto an external hard drive, or over the network via FTP.

I tried this once to hack ps home (lol) but it never really worked out so yeah. I suppose it's easy enough though. :)

Skate 3 has got rid of nearly all the shadow issues, runs 60fps at parts then grinds down framerate when facing certain directions.

There are a few ( very few ) BD-R drives that can read PS3 discs. If you have one in your PC, it might be worth a shot to try.
I really want to rip some of my PS3 games, but I had a ridiculously hard time installing CFW on my PS3... Is there an easy guide and DL link you guys can recommend? I literally spent a whole day trying to find download links for easy installers and was frustrated at every turn

Hey Kageroo, you can use a blu ray drive, but you need a special one, which is listed here:
https://rpcs3.net/quickstart
You can also use a CFW PS3 and transfer your files from your PS3 to your PC via FTP.
.PKG file extensions are also possible.
If you want to use your PC you also need an .ird file to decrypt the ripped PS3 games via your PC.

Whenever I have the time I'll cfw my "spare" PS3 and try the dumping method. Though I read I could also use backups to extract the games from? That seems a little less work, I might can do this soon. :)
